I liked it, clean work but yes those amps needed some serious gain matching, all the subs were moving in different directions lol, would love to hear it once it's really finished. -

I wish I could go to slamology, SBN really sucked this year as far as demoing outside of the building goes. Too many of the loud builds were outside so they couldn't demo, I sat in JP's tahoe twice, honestly it isn't that bad, i'd say it's up in the high 50's possibly breaking 60's and extremely musical.

pretty much, shit a 427 short block can cost anywhere between 5-10k depending on what you want on it

doing a cheap LS-based build can run you 5k before you know it. Used lq9 with some ported aluminum heads, cam, forged crank, and some boost or spray will get you there quick.

pulled off a 141 flat today, streetbeat 1 usaci, not too shabby for the given equipment, 2 memphis power reference 10's, prefab box, DC 3.5k wired to 4 ohm.

I think my car meters louder on the dash though haha, barely any difference between sealed up or drivers door open so I guess that's a plus side, downside this dude with 2 p3 12's in a sealed box on a prime 1200.1 was louder than me

"Deaden the shit out of it." I mean everything, inner door card, the bottoms of button clusters (wrap it around them if possible) and where any trim elements meet.

I was told to mass load the doors to prevent the resonating, is mass loading the same as deadening but with a different heavier material?

It's a combo of different materials. Deadner, open cell, closed cell etc to get what you are looking to do. Each product is designed to work with a range of noises

That's why I don't do SOTM. I don't think I'd win, as my build is... a pos compared to some people's on here. (Hence why not even pics of mine haha). But even if it was half decent, don't think many would vote so... screw it. I'm on here to learn and help others. But definitely do agree. Asking others to come here to vote? Lame.

out the blue with my iPod touch hooked up via USB to kenwood KDC-x395 is making all sorts of random popping/crackling sounds, not sure if it's the headunit, ipod, or amp, sound goes away when I play CD's, any idea? all settings are flat on headunit, max volume I turn it up is 33 out of 35, amp gain is set at about 9 o clock, any suggestions?

I figured it was a USB issue, not sure if this has happened to other people with this same headunit but sometimes when I turn the accesories on then I start the ignition, that little fraction of time that the radio shuts off for the car to start, after the headunit recognizes the ipod again it will play with very bad interference, once I unplug the USB and plug it back in it goes away, but that's always happened ever since I bought the headunit new.

Make sure the usb plug and inlet are clean
