audiofanaticz Posted March 16, 2017 Report Share Posted March 16, 2017 Starting to test out LED headlights to see who has the better ones out there that are reliable and actually bright, etc.. There is a few other companies I want to test out too yet, probably going to have to use some friends vehicles with those. So far Im impressed with these, in normal housings, but in projectors they are garbage due to the light only coming from 2 sides of the bulb, and the piece of metal in the projector housing for the cutoff they just dont go great together. But that is why Im testing a few different brands and styles to see if there is a LED bulb that will do well in projectors. The bulb Im holding is a H4 Hi/Low bulb. So these are 3 sided (unlike the 9006/9005 style that are 2 sided) with light coming out of 2 sides for the low beams, and when the highbeams are on the 3rd side illuminates as well. Just sold our big enclosed trailer and I'm starting a build on a smaller one. Will end up 4' tall inside with a hinged roof similar to the Featherlite ModPod. Static drops are my bag.
