The cop said that he heard me from 4 blocks away and that my entire trunk was filled with speakers ( only had 1 15" L7 ).Come to find out he knew my brother and thats why he gave me a verbal. He also said to " keep that bumpity bump bump shit down". Of course, because they know when a robbery, murder, etc. is happening, right? It's funny how everyone says the same thing and act like police should just let people do whatever they want unless it's murder or rape. If the cop is just patrolling and sees/hears something illegal then that is his job to pull them over, even if it is just a loud system. And also, traffic stops are just as deadly as going to a crime in progress. They're walking up to an unknown car with a stranger in it who could possibly have a gun ready to shoot the second they step up. I wouldn't classify that as being safe. I also hurd u can be as loud as u want for five minutes and the law cant do anything? Can anyone give me some info? The first time I went to vegas I was on the strip and a cop on a bicycle told me to turn down my music and if he heard it again that I would get a ticket. So I kept my "bumpity bump bump shit" down after that.. He got a ticket. If he was going to go through the trouble, why wouldn't he just go on and write me up ? The other weird thing, was that I saw him at a crossing intersection WAAAAY ahead of time, and turned my stereo down when I was probably still 250-300 feet away from him ! I swear, it seems more likely that he has probably seen my truck / heard my stereo a dozen X's before, when he was just too busy, or lazy to pull me over. Then this time, he saw me rolling with my windows down (just knowing what I was up to) and decided to give me some crap. He also got me (put on the warning ticket) for a clear license plate cover. Glad he never walked to the front of my truck, and saw that I don't have a front plate at all ! Or, that he didn't mention my tinted glass..... or that I have a couple tires with close to illegal tread..... or... etc, etc. So many things he could have gotten me for. Anyway, I pretty much kissed his ass, and made him feel all mighty and powerful.... and I did not get a ticket. But if I'm not mistaken, that written warning will get tacked on to my name, so that next time, they know I've already been warned.... right ? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Meanwhile, their was probably a robbery, or assault, or murder going on..... while this cop was fucking with me for my stereo ! Priorities I guess. I mean technically if you have a sound ordinance in your jurisdiction and the cop wanted to he could have cited you. I would be thankful that he let you go. When you bump you make yourself a likely target to be stopped because you're an attention grabber as are all of us who use systems its just the nature of the beast...It gives them PC to initiate a traffic stop and if there are other issues they can have a field day with citations...
