What I have usually found with welding wire is you need 2/0 to be comparable to 1/0 by say Kicker or a good quality ofc 1/0 gauge cable. But I have never used this brand before, and it doesn't say OFC copper ???

It is true 1/0, but you have to remember, car audio wire is bigger than welding by a bit. but you can pay 4 dollars a foot for knu or kicker or pay 2.50 for 100% copper welding cable. Just remember, use lugs instead of ring terminals.

Welding wire will carry a lot of current because the strands are more dense... a 20 ft run of the 0 gauge cable i use is rated to carry about 400-450 amps... the 2/0 gauge will carry 600-650 amps...

** NOTE TO ALL THE HATERS THAT GO AROUND BITCHING THAT I GIVE BAD ADVICE BECAUSE THEY DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHAT I DO **

I KNOW YOU ARE GOING TO SAY THAT THIS IS BULLSHIT, THAT WELDING CABLE CANNOT CARRY THAT MUCH CURRENT, WELL BELOW IS THE RATINGS FOR THE CABLE I USE @50 FEET, 20 FEET WOULD BE DRASTICALLY MORE, SO ENJOY AND CANNOT WAIT TO SEE WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS CABLE I USE....
