First a simple air intake upgrade : Intake Resonator Removal

Locate Resonator

Now go to Lowes and buy a 2" plumbers cap.

Tranny swap update

No clutch master cylinder

Cutting hole for the master cylinder and clutch assembly bolts was a pain

Chrome and black pedal pads are ordered and on the way. I will be putting a more detailed install of the clutch and brake assembly's on GMT400.com

Actual tranny swap should happen next weekend now that the pedals and master cylinder are in.

I can't wait to see what kind of throttle response I get with the cap and the Vmax plenum spacer. The spacer is gonna go in right after the tranny swap.

I saw 4.10's and got scared for your wallet...but then I saw the NV3500 swap thrown in there too. Sweet idea, sweet truck. Is she gonna get a repaint in the same colors?

I've been dreaming of swapping a 6.0 LQ9 bored out to a 414ci, with a pair of 62mm billet's and a built T56 into my truck. Just a dream, bank account isnt big enough yet :(

Tuned in for sure :)

I am doing a tranny swap because ever since the crate motor was installed I have gone through 4 4L60e's. So after talking to a buddy of mine, he talked talked me into doing the swap. He had the nv3500 sitting in his garage that he was gonna use on one of his projects. I picked up the tranny for only $320. The whole conversion will cost less another 4L60e or 65e. And the 4L80e is geared more for a work truck or 4x4 than a performance truck. I figure if the nv3500 takes a dump, then it's time to put in a T56 and 4:88 gears.

I put in the 4:10's years ago cause I wanted more off the line torque. The open diff 3:42's bugged me because I prefer posi in a truck.

I am also thinking about doing a vortec marine intake since the one that comes in the truck has limited injectors you cant upgrade.

I wanna keep the truck blue with some white pin striping when it gets repainted. The interior is gonna be blue, white and light grey.
