SICKSPD
Post you're dumbest moments here... Looking back I laugh about this but at the time it wasn't funny... I used to smoke a lot of weed and being high while doing work isn't always the smartest idea…I managed to spill a bunch of acetone all down the side of my truck after I twitched or something from being too high. Next thing I know the damn clear coat started coming off. It wasn't too bad but looking back it was kinda funny. I wasn't happy at the time though. 09 Challenger R/T (Audio system under construction): Pioneer AVH-X4500BT (PAC RP4CH11 harness) (2) Sundown Audio SA-8v2 (inverted) CT Sounds AT1400.1D XS Power D3400 40 sq ft. Awhitewookie
Had a 82 dodge with a fully built 400 in it with an aftermarket msd iginition and it was running weird (just rebuilt the 850 double pump carb) so I pulled over and popped the hood to mess with some things. The engine was still running and I noticed the ignition control box wired looked loose so I just grabbed it to push it on more. BOOM Got sent a couple feet back into a parked car! Slammed that fucker hard too. I had the most energy for 2 hours in my life and then passed out till morning. I kid you not, I was flung like a ragdoll! Krakin
I was trying to pul a panel off of my door and it wouldn't come off. I kept pulling and twisting it. It turns out it was screwed on and I broke it lol. Now that panel vibrates a little bit when the bass hits. Krakin's Home Dipole Project http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/186153-krakins-dipole-project-new-reciever-in-rockford-science/#entry2772370 Krakin, are you some sort of mad scientist? I would have replied earlier, but I was measuring the output of my amp with a yardstick . . . What you hear is not the air pressure variation in itself but what has drawn your attention in the two streams of superimposed air pressure variations at your eardrums An acoustic event has dimensions of Time, Tone, Loudness and Space Everyone learns to render the 3-dimensional localization of sound based on the individual shape of their ears, thus no formula can achieve a definite effect for every listener. boom50cal
Arc'ed a starter solenoid on a early 80s Ford truck with a 300-6 and a 4 speed. Turned that fucker right over and started it while in gear.... Luckily we pulled the driveshaft out to do u-joints that morning and hadn't put it back in yet. Smoove
I installed my Alpine HU in my Z back in 2007. When I did I never connected the power wire antenna. I never listen to the radio so I didn't care. A few months ago to make the wife happy I pulled apart the dash so I could wire up the power antenna so the radio would work better. When I pulled the dash forward guess what I found. My wire strippers I couldn't find since 2007 sitting on top of the HU in the dash. 2 Team Fi 15's v1 2 DD M5's 970amps of Alt 6th order blowthroughThe truck Blowthrough build : http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/155555-smooves-1996-chevy-ext-cab-c1500-slow-build/The 350z build : http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/170694-smooves-2003-nissan-350z/ My FB page https://www.facebook.com/pages/Smooves-Car-Audio-and-performance/719746144805343 Team Fi Audio http://www.ficaraudio.com/
79 cutty
Not me personally, because I have always thought people are complete idiots to be crawling under a vehicle with no jackstands under it and only raised up due to the hydraulics, but watched a local dude who is full of himself crawl under his hopper and the hose in the rear blew.....whole cars weight came falling down on his chest. He ended up in the hospital for a few days. A lot of weight landing on your chest....no thank you. Firm believer in letting my cars do my talking! You can't rush quality, it doesn't happen overnight. 79 cutty
I can laugh about it now, but I also watched my younger brother drop a wrench on his set up and arc his batteries running 120 (that is right, I said 120) volts to his front pump and watched those beasts arc. The wrench got so messed up on the batter post that the whole battery post pretty much welded onto itself and you could never get the lug back off the battery.
