reedal Posted August 6, 2015 Report Posted August 6, 2015 Here's some advice for you since you have zero patience and are a bit of a crybaby from the looks of it. 1) have patience, someone will see it and be able to give the advice you're looking for 2) there's a LOT of build logs on here, and I'm 100% sure there's walled car builds in there too, because I've looked at them. Do a little bit of work yourself and find those, and maybe send a PM to the author? Makes sense right? Or is it too hard to do a little research for yourself? _paralyzed_ Posted August 6, 2015 Report Posted August 6, 2015 Nobody has the integrity or kindness? Get over yourself. You're asking for advice that would take about 12 pages of typing to properly inform, not a simple one paragraph reply.Honestly, if you need that much advice I'd say you're in over you're head. Read hdorre's 3000gt build log in the member's build section. He goes through an entire wall build.
Jessica Posted August 6, 2015 Report Posted August 6, 2015 im curious to see these the threads the OP made. That aside, tear out the back seat. Measure measure measure. Once you have an idea of the space you are working with you can start researching gear. Easiest way for most shells is just use a bunch of 2x4's and then put a layer or two of mdf inside it. How many boxes have you built? do you understand port displacement, port area, port tuning. You going sealed instead? got a plan for electrical upgrades? Wire routing? Have you tested your suspension to see if it can handle the extra weight? Rest in peace, walled 87 accord build log 03' Corolla build with AA Mayhem inside. hispls Posted August 6, 2015 Report Posted August 6, 2015 I'd have to agree, if you need things spoon fed to you you're nowhere near ready to do a wall build. I'd also agree that you should simply look at some build logs and see what others have done. Better still go to some car shows where some loud vehicles compete and see/ask those guys for advice.
Skullz Posted August 6, 2015 Report Posted August 6, 2015 Do like many others on this forum have had to do, and that is to build it and learn from your mistakes. There are no simple answers to your questions and you need to learn the basics before taking a plunge head deep into something your not prepared for. First and foremost is what gear do you plan on running cause there isn't a soul alive that can take generic information and give you the specs to build your wall. Planning, planning, planning and more planning before you ever buy a single thing for a build that can take many, many thousands of dollars to pull off right, and if you get it wrong you can rest assured you'll spend thousands more. A wall is a wall, so take some time to explore the many threads on walls and see what might apply to your situation that you feel you want to try out, cause everything behind the wall doesn't matter. 01 Ford focus ZX3 Pioneer AVH-X491BHS PPI PC 4800.2 Morel Maximo 6.5" x2
sideshow_kustom Posted August 6, 2015 Report Posted August 6, 2015 Man I would love to help but I'm not worth a damn! Dude just calm down you will never get any help or advice acting like that. I agree with everyone else, just do some research and look around on here to see if anyone has a build log on a walled 01 Crown Vic. I've seen on many post where someone provides the amount of space they have and the specs of the sub's & one of the "Not worth a Damn" guy's on here provides a free design for them. But you got to research some stuff for your self and be patient. Post like that will not get you any help on here nor else where at all. Have you ever built a wall before, or even a box? mrd6 Posted August 6, 2015 Report Posted August 6, 2015 Lol if this is third forum you've posted on and no one has given you advice maybe its not EVERYONE ELSE on these forums who is the problem, the common denominator is YOU...if you need to be spoon fed answers with step by step instructions this probably isn't the hobby for you. Like everyone else offering you advice. You need to research on your own, A LOT. Then, when you have specific questions, ask them politely and wait a normal amount of time for a response before getting all pissy and I bet you'll get the answers you are looking for. Syphlyn Posted August 6, 2015 Report Posted August 6, 2015 To answer all your questions would take a considerable amount of time. The project you are trying to start is no easy task, it will takes weeks/months of research and planning if this is your first build like this. Don't expect to get spoon fed answers around here and then everything fall into place perfectly. Just because no one has replied within 24 hours doesn't mean this forum is shit. Believe it or not people on this forum have real lives and jobs and don't just sit on here waiting to help people 24/7. Go ahead, if this is what you have to offer to our community, it's probably better you're not around.
