just got my new subs for the caddy. Here are a few pics if the SMD v3 proto.  It will get a custom bottom cover plate eventually once this becomes a finished product.  Ill post more pics tomorrow!

Those look nice. Curious decision to step away from the dual magnet design. Are these still the SMD style dual coil, with 2 individual winding in 2 gaps?

Nice. Reminds me of an SP4V2 with a split slug. Whats the benefit over a solid magnet?

In an electric motor the edges/ends of the magnetic core (as opposed to the center of the magnetic core) provide the centering force for the assembly. Not sure if that same phenomena applies to permanent magnets tho.

no need to be worried.  I can't remember the last time i had a problem with a tinsel on any of my subs.  The only worry i have (ain't even a worry i guess) is that it will never get released....at least not in 2018 LOL.  At least i have them i guess. :D
