It's a valid point that the tweeters are nearly 2 feet apart, and will cause interference patterns which will cancel at various frequencies, causing those frequencies to disappear. first of all, dumb fuck, they are 12" apart, not 24". You got a terrible eye. Probably never even seen a tape measure. Is it perfect? probably not. Pretty good though...and the mids are more then ideal. Anyway I am not an expert at this and i certainly wasn't 6 fucking years ago when i built them. All i can do is learn and do better each time, and i have. My latest towers SHIT on these towers. BUT THESE towers still sound great too. let me tell you something, fuckface, this is a hobby for me. You came in here and right off the bat dissed on everything you saw. X-max and x-mech are very different -- most big subs based on the 12-spoke hit them at the same time. Our new platform drivers have MUCH more x-mech than x-max to prevent mechanical damages -- the driver can keep moving beyond x-max (which is the 70% BL point) by quite a bit before causing any damage + with the reduced 2nd order harmonic and reduced mechanical noise distortion isn't kicking in as quickly either so much of it is quite usable.

2 bulk packs (almost 73 square feet & about 17 hours in installation time) of Second Skin Audio's Damplifier Pro Sound Deadener, this great product has made a world of a difference in Rolling Thunder that 3 hour ride up here to Atlanta proved to me the road noise is down, my system's louder ever at lower volumes inside the cabin area more sound quality because the music can be clearly heard not like before my roof flapping was so loud over the system my kids did say they "miss" how much it used to flex, it still flexes some now but it has been minimized, overall I'm very satisfied, shocked & happy w/the results, I may or may not gain a DB at all from it but I feel better knowing I'm deadened now but my Bass Boxing score should improve because the truck can hold the pressure now, hard work pays off, Second Skin For The Win People, For The Win...

Stop cluttering Stephen's thread here. You don't recommend to noobs to run below 1 ohm. I'm experienced and 1 ohm daily is perfectly fine for me. I'm glad you have exposures that are inefficient enough to get away with .5 ohm nominal loads. I wouldn't want to advise someone to run below 1 ohm when it is MUCH more unsafe and an unstable environment for equipment. So, I'm not sure why you're asking me in someone else's thread about why I don't like to run half ohm for daily. I have never personally fried one piece of my stuff from staying sage and running 1 ohm or above. If you want to put out X amount of power, buy an amp and FEED that amp the proper electrical to get x amount of power. Dont but a product and then run the absolute dog piss out of it and harm something in the process. I realize you haven't DIRECTLY informed the OP to run half ohm, but you're sure trying to play the devil's advocate about it being ok, which is just as bad. Oh no, tweeters are not to someone's specifications who isnt around to hear the setup to judge it in person. End of the world!

Approximately 31mm xmax - one way (xmech is prob quite a bit more)....31mm doesn't sound like much but Jacob stated that most manufacturers xmax ratings arn't accurate because they arn't klippel verified, so 31mm klippel verified xmax is quite a bit more than most other drivers out there. I thought the xmax was 50mm .. damn that's not a improvement over what I have now.. 28m one way Yeah you're right, these new high excursion lines of sundown subs arn't much of an improvement over the fi q line of subs.....

I finally get secondary batteries.... wire them together with double runs of 1/0.... then the 7/16 Craftsman wrench slips and falls across the + & - leads. Arc, Spark, and weld city. In about 1 second the wrench becomes a huge, super-heated fuse. No choice: grab it with hand and YANK the wrench off of the terminals. Yeah... likely battery damage, a big time scare, and a burn on my hand. F THAT!
