I learned more on smd forum in the last 3 years than I did in 15 years just doing it my self.

Ok some of you might know the Tahoe is about to get some good ink in Fast Car magazine (out of the U.K.). They are doing a huge article about it. Anyhow, all the photo's were taken a few months ago and the writer was asking for a system diagram. He said "just whip something up and our graphics dept will make it look pretty". So i said sure. I tossed together on CAD a quick rundown of my setup. It has changed some since the last one i did years ago so i just re-did it real quick with current equipment. Well he came back at me and said "what about that fancy one (talking about my older diagram) with all the pictures on it? well i don't have the original file any more so i can't just change the old one. I decided to start from scratch and make a brand new one. He said i didn't have to do it but nobody know's my system better than me.....and i am good at my CAD program. So i spent some time today and did him a fresh one. Here is the rough sketch. And after today's "fix". I seriously ran out of room on the 8.5 x 11 so i had to use a 8.5 x 14 template. This is a LOT clearer on PDF and lost some quality when i uploaded as a JPEG for this post....but you get the point.

I hate this forum. I can't stop looking at it. Edit: but I've learned a lot since I stumbled upon it last year. My wife hates this forum too because I'm always looking at it

This forum has a standing reputation for ahole-ness. There's more guys measuring their "wiring harnesses" on this board than I've ever seen. Try not to get too worked up over it. A few of your posts did seem a little strong. But no worries. Take a break from the forum for awhile and come back on a new topic later. no it doesn't. Maybe in your mind it does. This forum is very big and very busy. Depending on the month, it's either number 1 or number two for all car audio forums. So not everyone will see eye to eye. Some people are WAY overly sensitive and get their feelings hurt for really no reason. Some people are fucking assholes themselves and when booted they cry like little bitches on other (less popular) forums to try to make us or ME look bad. The only other people who don't like me or this forum are the people who have never joined here and got their info from a banned member, or someone who joined and was banned himself. Hell there are members that don't like the forum but can't stay away. They hate it so much they have THOUSANDS of posts but tell people on other forums they "never come here". lol. So seriously, let them "think" we are a bunch of assholes but really this is the best car audio (and more) community on the planet.

I missed having that sun visor in the pt cruiser. Much better Also among all of my interior lights being converted to LED. Also got some single beam LED headlights. No more ugly yellow halogen! Before: After Side by Side: Both LED Had to throw my fog lights on too. Back to that center console that ive been building for 2 years on and off. lol Now that i have a reason to work on it and somewere to install it when its done. Steel rod to keep it from flexing and cracking on me. I lined all this with scrap carpet so it wouldnt scrape my shifter on install. SMC Hardset filler to the rescue. Such a pain to sand but this shit works great! So much sanding lol So much filler primer lol 1 Temperature meter, 2 Volt meters After a couple coats of SEM Texture Coating, to simulate the vinyl texture. Looks so nice already. Phone couldnt focus that well, ya get the idea lol After SEVERAL coats of some SEM color coat flexible paint FINALLY DONE!!

Now its time to test out those door panels ive been working on. (This amp already has been replaced by a OA800.4 This was just for a quick idea) Dont mind the spaghetti, just for quick gain and impedance testing lol Door panels are not finished, will be re finished the same way Im doing my center console. This one with the crushed dustcap is on its last legs but still works! his new brother is sitting in a box until im ready for final installation. All i have to say is even on very conservative tuning, these bitches scream and sound great doing it. Definately want more bass now Also our classic cars garage is getting a new roof so we had to bring them home for one night, figured id take some pics for you guys.

Damn guys, I'm just having a conversation and trying to learn of his knowledge. I really respect his work and I'm not bashing his products AT ALL. What should I do, kiss his ass? Maybe I'm on the wrong forum, but I thought it was meant to share thoughts and learn from eachother. I'm not trying to pose as knowledgeable at all, I'm a complete noob compared to him. I'm just sharing what I (think I) know, so he can correct me where neccesary. I was going to type a reply to mr D'Amore, but maybe I shouldn't and just let it be.

I award you an A for effort sir. However the devil is in the details and the marketing info. That graph is erroneously drawn to make Class D look better than it is. The x axis is drawn lineraly in power. It should be drawn as a LOG. This would make the difference between the two look much less though, and would exploit the crap out of the fact that Class D has LESS efficency at very low levels. The graph in that .gif should have the x axis drawn as: 0.0001%, 0.001%, 0.01%, 0.1%, 1%, 10%, 100% ... NOT 0%, 10%, 20%, 30%, 40% and so on. Class Dismissed
