tuning by smell ftw

this is great news! We filed our provisional patent over a year ago and last August we filed for the official US Patent on our Distortion Detector DD-1. Well it looks like we are now in the last stage and hopefully by the summer time it will be official!! I can talk about it now because its far to late for anyone to steal our technology at this point. Anyhow, i would like to congradulate my partners Tony D and Juan from D'Amore Engineering on the current Patent Pending status and the below document in a million years i would never think i would have a US Patent with my name on it. Damn...and thanks to everyone who believes in us and what we do! We can't thank you enough! Not reading past 2nd page..but whoever told you thats what you get for offbrand equipment should get donkey punched in their head....and then whoever sold you the Hifonics amp and told you its a "good" or "great" brand should get punched too. You are on the right track with the singer alt..extra battery and sundown subs..pioneer headunit..where you fall short is the amp...my old BRZ1200 i had to almost max the gain out to get anything out of it(even if it was clipping i didn't care at the time)....I would ditch the amp and order a sundown 1500..or even a used AQ2200 or Crescendo BC2200... Just my two cents Also your encolsure will make a huge difference.. WHO built the box and do you have specs or any pictures??

The shop I use to go to tune by ear with a hip hop radio staion I never had problem and they were clip to the fullest stock hu to hilow convertor off one the speakers gains who nowswere I would pit the eq all the way up on the bass on a prefab And after 3 years it still kept playing and I had what this forums considers cheap cheap cheap as in no good Makes me wonder why these top quality brands can't take a bit of clipping

omfg tuning by smell LOL ok time to help... Since they installed it take it back and get your money back for the hack job they probably did. You need to have good grounds with the paint sanded away. is the big 3 done? where are you located? only way to tune is with an o-scope or dd1

No, for sellers protection you file your patent prior to selling to put it into patent pending status, can take up to 3 or 4 yrs for the patent to actually be approved.The US is terribly slow at approving them because tgey have such a massive backlog of applications! Congrats! I know it was pumped when mine were granted! what do you have a patent on? For cut dough applications, equipment, and formulation. I do R&D for General Mills, I work with some people who have 30 or more patents and trade secrets. My Australian patent was filed and granted in less then 6 months, and I have 4 other pending patents in the US that are going on 3 years pending! Lol It's a cool ass feeling getting that first one for sure!!

soon....but i don't have a heck of a lot of video of it. He rolled up his window on me and i didn't get the vibe he wanted me to film too much of it. I think he was pissed because it went into protect and i understand the frustration, i been there several times if you want my bro, i can come by with the gopro 3 @ 60 or 120fps and we can do a much MUCH better demo. I can get you a ton of attention with this. People love crazy shit like this and it will look sick on the gopro LOL

OH FYI: This is only one little document in the hundreds that have been submitted. Many of which are public as of today. We have attorneys and all sorts of things going on to make this happen, not to mention over $10,000. and people think "its too expensive, you should sell that for $XX.XX amount of dollars" LOL - there is a LOT more involved then just the sum of parts when it comes to a REAL product.

so i guess its 1, maybe 2 large alternators and a battery bank huh? It doesn't look like there is much room under there. I might step up my game to a 16/18v setup in this one. Time will tell, i really haven't even decided ANYTHING yet. I made my friend an offer on the van, he took it, and here i am LOL...no thought at all on what im gonna actually do. Yep, battled with it for a while but Matt @ Mechman came through. You'll need to ditch the entire AC setup. AC evaporator, heater matrix and blower. If you can live without that then Matt has a double bracket setup which replaces stock alt fixture for a new item. You will need to cut some of the firewall but it fits.. its designed to work in other Chevys with the same motor. I have 3x SMD Spec 350A Alts, along with the double bracket I ditched the AC pump for the 3rd unit. I can see room for a 4th if the firewall is cut some more, just need to adapt the Mechman bracket little more.. My Astro isn't used daily its a purely 'Audio' only so the finer luxurys need not matter.. well for me at least! thanks so much for the advice man!!! i really need that!! I don't mind taking out the AC, it doesn't work anyway........and i didn't buy this thing for transportation, i bought it for teh boooomm. So out comes anything that needs to come out
