My schedule is too busy to be on SMD every day. When I have time to catch up I legitimately read through things and I like to comment accordingly. Thanks for noticing though, shouldn't have to defend myself.

Is Hotmail slow and times out for other people all the time as well? Not just today but over the past several months if not longer. Hotmail fucking sucks

Man did not know Hotmail was still available.
-
=(
-
Ive been trying to recover my hotmail password for 3 months and the tech support is more than useless.

Am I the only one who likes watching subwoofer excursion ALMOST as much as listening to the bass? of course those two come hand in hand so i think it's actually the combo

LOL, thanks man, I needed that today! I kind of want to do a American bass build and have my sub box painted red white and blue and go to shows and just be like Yea, Merica

Merica!

Were old PPI flat piston subs just shallow mount or a different purpose?

I was just curious. Knew people that raved about theirs, just remembered about them, what was the point? or was special about them? lol
-
had 6 batteries out of Alma's vehicle, signed by her in gold paint marker. =)
-
Those PPI cones were a very stiff honeycomb-like design. I think it was for a very rigid cone which wouldnt deform like a normal cone could...
Definitely not shallow mount, they were full bore subs.

Finally gets his last two 3800's....and now is getting teams that require more power....

Teams prolly would do great on those boards. I just know Kyle finally got his second two amps recently and now talks about Teams, SMH, jk, jk
-
Nate, in your video those subs/wall was about to jump out your truck! 2 TFE's even on Team subs is a LOT of power... Hopefully those threaded rods are anchored in good because only double layer baffle
-
Never hear of anyone using the -15 db tone. When would someone find the need to?

i ran the -15 when i first got my set up going for 4 months..... lol
-

-
couldn't pass that one up.....it was too perfect.

My step-dad (60 yrs. old) telling me today about a guy he saw on a show destroying phone books out the air thing in the back of his vehicle from the loud bass stuff like I like. LMAO

@karkov no no no bro i meant....i am not sure if step-pops saw MY video or the guy from India who also did it. He had SMD's too.
-
oh. Well it was on TV so I have no idea. Shit, I'll have to see where he saw it. =/
-
@karkov if it was on TV then it was me.
-
People who say "I got a *said* amp on a *said* sub and it takes it fine"..... yea ok fine but where is your gain at? Lots of headroom yo. I can put a TFE on a level 2 and it will take it if gain is all the way down and HU output is whatevs...

Listened to cousin's 2014 Dodge Ram (most fully loaded version) had Alpine factory set up, center channel, speakers in each door, ceiling etc. sounds DAMN nice on SXM radio, was very surprised.
-
Did Steve use CC-1 or O-scope to gain match his RF amps going to his subs? I ask because I am thinking of going an amp per coil and am curious if the CC-1 is accurate enough to not fry thousands in equipment.

-
Even if you are off a little bit it won't destroy the sub... Your good use the cc-1 be happy
-
I know you guys all hate it but Karkov I have been strapped for months and have had 0 issues. I was never able to gain match my amps, one was always slightly higher voltage. Strapping solved that for me.
-
No reason to strap rf amps.
-
no one else online, just trying to catch up from days of not really being around, front page looks like I'm spamming, logging off now...

Terry Brocks USACI 161.6 out the trunk!

Just looked at the rules and they state that no part of the enclosure or any part affixed to it may protrude above the factory rear deck.
Doesn't say anything about sticking into the car any other way.
Seems weird though because to me trunk means all the way in the trunk.
It's like cheating without actually being considered cheating.

I think the aero looks like its "out that far"...... Its not half way in the cabin....
