  4. increase the top plate thickness on the neo build by adding another steel ring? Yes or no?

  5. So if I can "fix it" and add a little bit of thermal glue, you think it would be fine, assuming it didn't rub or whatever?
  6. Yeah that's what I was thinking would work best, but I'm not sure how I'm going to be able to unbend/undent the bottom coil winding, since I can't get anything behind it without completely screwing the coil. But I've never dealt with coil damage before or know much about it. How adversely can the scratches on the coil, the dent in the bottom of the coil, and the scratches and chipped anodized layer of the former affect the performance or electrical behavior? Am I going to have increased inductance? Could there be a problem (electrical or thermal) with the glue that was scratched off the coils, even if it's only a little bit?
  7. I was just working on the final fitment/placement for the basket spacing on the neo woofer when I dropped the voice coil I ordered from you. It fell right onto the basket/motor and got a pretty nice ding in the former and scratched the coils a bit, it also bent the bottom most winding of the coil, and scraped a small bit of the anodized layer off the former. I have these pictures, based on the already tight gap fitment, would you recommend getting another coil?
  8. can someone take a look in the neo build log and answer the questions about the damaged voice coil?

  9. DC remembered (very kindly) my specific need for a v-belt, but might have forgot I sprung extra $$ to switch to a full serp belt set-up so now my 320a has a v-belt pulley on it hahaha. Would that even work?

Have them send you the right pulley. You should be able to swap out fairly simple - if not have a local shop swap the pulley for you...instead of waiting for shipping twice again.

just need a pulley that is of the same size and bolt pattern and maybe rent a pulley puller

WELLLLLLLLL, if I wasn't swapping from a full v-belt to a serp belt set-up, I actually would just do it myself, but since that's not the case I'm having it all done at once :)

      So in short; my mechanic.

Sorry to be off topic. Where did you get your neo magnets at Alan?

      Dwn4BassAlan

No problem, go to magnet4less.com they will have the better prices compared to almost anywhere else. K and J magnetics is also good, but very expensive.

  15. Hey Peter Jackson, kill yourself. Thanks.

  16. Here's a great idea for future posting: Please actually read the relevant info before making a suggestion, or inquire about it if you can't find it. Then if someone replies back with simple information, try processing it correctly before blowing up at literally nothing. Thanks.

  17. Maserati Logic: If the battery dies, is replaced, a terminal comes loose, or voltage drops too low, it will automatically lock the console system including the radio, nav, and basically everything else. Then it will ask for a keycode which only the original dealership has. Very good.

Lol there's plenty I want that I can't afford. I don't spend needlessly is all I'm saying, no I'm not broke like you said, but I don't actually buy that much stuff. When I make purchases they're usually in bulk but they don't happen often. I don't know what you want to call it, but it's not "loaded" the way I think of "loaded" ok?

  18. Guys whats a good estimate for the box size for the neo? What's a nice "safe" area for cu.ft? I have a fairly large amount of room for a trunk.

I'd try a fairly middle of the road box ~5.5 cuft and go from there. What I've found playing around with my own subs: Even though you can feed it more power in a smaller box, the smaller box ends up being so inefficient that it's quieter overall

      Dwn4BassAlan

yeah, what snow said about the build Ken. And thanks, so 5.5 as a base-point and work/tune from there should be good?
