  1. you don't have to do the V shape. that's a picture of yuyang jin's 4th order (fail) wall (i'm pretty sure) there are a shitton of things wrong here. first and probably most important, single layer baffle is not going to survive. period. second, i don't know how well XL's would like a sealed side. third, you don't need to do the V shape. I can almost guarantee you're just creating more work and headaches for yourself. yuyang jin (irpirate) has a 6th order wall with the subs facing eachother and he's doing high fifties last time he metered, probably doing sixties now. you don't run into cancellation problems unless you have a really deep wall. fourth, you're going to want some bracing. personally, i'd double layer the entire box, possibly triple layer the baffle. flush mount and possibly invert the subs. hmu if you have any more questions. personally
  2. I'm pretty sure i'm going. hopefully i'll get my 6th order built by then.
  3. get the dual 2 ohm option. wire it in parallel to 1 ohm. get the aq 1200. it will do 1200 watts at 1 ohm. it will be fine for your setup, just get it. it's a fine amp.
  4. I feel like this is pitbullninja all over again. Just fucking pick something.
  5. No. This is all about brand. frankly any of the underground type brands that are routinely talked about on here will all work sufficiently well. look around and find something YOU like. then focus on the install.
  6. why can't you do your own research and figure this out for yourself? questions like these are stupid.
  7. Do you listen to a lot of chopped and screwed music? personally i'd shrink the port area to around 14 per cube, and raise the tuning to 33-35 hz so you can still pick up some of the higher notes.
  8. didn't see the power you were running.. yeah, 14 should be good.
  9. The problem i forsee is trying to calculate the volume of that, and getting the port area and tuning you want after you find the volume
  10. physical port length is the length of the port walls. use that number instead. and make your baffle so it takes up the full length and width of the face. like so. also, you're going to want some crossbracing front to back.
  11. It looks like you've got tons of room in that trunk for 12's, but if you can only get 2 cubes like you say, then go tens.
  12. no. if you are going for a daily box, max of a 1:3 ratio, tune to 45 hz AT THE LOWEST. you will still be able to hit the low notes better than you think. the port tuning has little effect on how low you can hit.
