  1. "Assembled in the USA". maybe the rectifier was made in the USA but thats where it ends. at least with the "6phase" lol. glorified 3 phase. its possible to wind other stuff but most of the stators and such are initial made overseas like everything else. I guess you could also say modded in the USA. none the less. glad you are happy.
  2. im with you. id take more diodes/rectifier surface area, more cooling surface area in general, and more belt contact area and less cost. and more power.
  3. I understand that and all the shops quoted me 350-400$ and were over 100 miles away I just don't feel like it should take 4 months and be put off every time I ask for pics :/ and most the shops said they needed the car there to properly fiberglass them :/ everytime you have posted on here with questions, we suggest the right things to do and where to go. sure they may be slightly more expensive but its not some random guy that you may never see again. you always seem to take the cheap way out , which isnt always bad, and im not saying go buy everything from crutchfield, but with a lot of stuff you get what you pay for. plus id want my stuff glassed right and to look like it flows with the car. if I ever had anything glassed professionally id drop my car off to make sure its done right and looks elegant. i know rockin that eclipse drove down to like virginia from michgan to get his doors done and they look and sound badass. totally worth it.
  4. thanks for the pics! looks like a great time. I hope to attend one day!
  5. idk how that would work on these. this is a lot of current to protect from
  6. Also people that want some kind of warranty with their purchase.I'd pay the premium for peace of mind that I'm not going to electrocute myself from some sort of stupid mistake. you can electrocute yourself the same even if its in an all in one package. just dont short positive with negative!!
  7. they wont be cheap. they are assembling them. it will still be cheaper to do the work yourself and assemble them yourself. this will benefit people that dont know what their doing, dont want to take the time to know what their doing, or arent smart enough to know what their doing.
  8. even 40 dollars a cap new instead of 50-60 would be more bearable.
  9. dont get your hopes up. i doubt xs power has the resources to make their own design. my only hope is they have enough resources to buy in extreme bulk to lower cost in addition to being a competitor in the market. also their r and d would have had to been at this for a few years now to be able to release a product. edit: let me clarify,i doubt xs power be able to design own caps, sure they could come up with a way to put them together and package them, but the caps internally will be from one of the big guys, (i hope). i doubt xs power would put out a poor product.
  10. The usual supercap used is the Maxwell 3000F 2.7V. 6 are required in series to be able to function in a 14V vehicle environment. The 3000F Maxwells are rated each at about 200A of max continuous current draw. Current in series is the same so a bank of 6 are still restricted to that ~200A (max continuous). 1900A peak. So to be safe, you'd want at least one bank for every 200A of current your system consumes. If you have an amp which draws 1000A, then 1000/200=5 banks would give you a very safe buffer. More banks will naturally give you more energy capacity. It's difficult to do an apples-apples comparison of batteries to caps as they are very different creatures. Batteries store TONS of energy while caps can store and release current very quickly. It also depends on what you use them for....burping or demoing. If in doubt..........just get 32 banks (192 caps) like AMI has.... thank you for saying this. i see people asking if adding 1 bank would help their 6k system. well sure it will help, but you are gunna be taxing that bank to the max aka, drawing more than 200 amps, thus reduce life and possibly causing a hazard. anyways, these caps should be interesting, and i highly doubt these are made in the USA. if they are, and are reasonably price they may have something. I hope they do have something here, protection circuits could be nice. i wonder if passive or active. also a waiver to use? lol. tuned in to see this play out.
  11. I put pricing in Post #72 just a few posts up i know i saw, thanks. it was more of a if price is good then i may be down. wasnt a direct question lol. sorry for confusion
  12. the internal components look very similar if not identical to dd amp components, at least the caps used . and now these are geared for 12 volts. hmm what is teh pricing? i shall look into this considering i am in teh market. hopefully the footprints are reasonable.
  13. i think it comes down to personal preference as usual. tuned in!!
  14. yea once i realized the secret to these games i stopped spending cash. 1. upgrade all resources elixir and gold and dark elixer to level 12! they jsut added another level for those at lvl 11. dark elixer to lvl 3 or 4. 2. goblins goblin goblins. prey on resource miners. then unleash 200+ goblins. plus your hero. 3. pay for 4th builder. 4. set up base for mining. (put home base out in open so weak people attack and give you a shield.)
  15. i play. im in a clan with family relatives and friends if anyone wants to join. im staying there sorry lol. Badger Crunch is the name. I didnt come up with it. figures my relatives are from wisconsin.
  16. awesome deal. i got some damp pro and luxury liner for my new ride!! will never use any other deadner (besides the free deadner i won for SOTM)!
  17. 1 alt cant support 10k. it can help recharge batteries that support 10k. i woulda gone with 4 alts if you had the chance. i was actually leaning more towards running 2 alts, but was told to see how the 1 would hold up before spending more money.I never play at idle,or compete so i guess that helps a lot. idle or not, 1 big alt can prolly support at most, 3-4k depending on how many accessories your vechicle has. and depenign on rpm and heat. the more alts you have the less batts you have to carry saving wear and tear and gas yes 1 alt will work but youll be holding bat votlage
