Anyone ever try a stud adapter kit? The threads they seem fucked up the most are near the bottom.

Try using a self taping screw. Stainless. Use same length as XS Power screw.

So IMO the weakest part of my system now is my car. My rear door flex and roof flex is killing my super lows.

I'm in stock trunk class. I can't jump to super modified... Lmao. And as far as deadener I have 120 sq feet. But I have about 1inch of flex on each back door, and 2+ inches of flex on my sunroof while closed.

if the batts were in, don't you think i would have posted pics of them in? nope, no batts. I pushed the tercel out of the booth and in a parking spot. I am losing interest fast everything is taking so long. I think im gonna work on my Tahoe a bit. It needs a few minor things done to it. I know shit takes super long some times Steve, but I'd just like to take this opportunity to say how much I love looking through your build logs of the ISF / Tahoe/ and now this car. Its great work, great information, tons of pics and videos.. And best of all you take the time out of your day to make it so people like me can view these awesome builds step by step. Keep up the awesome work. If I'm not making new basshead friends off Smd every day, then I'm learning something off SMD... and if I'm not doing either of those... I'm buying someone off wccaraudio or another Smd partner for my own build. SMD has been an awesome influence in the past 3 years of my life and I don't think you get thanked enough for it. Especially the time my car was broken into and you offered to replace my "stolen" dd1 that turned out not stolen when I finally got back to town to check the damage. after i thought it was coil rub, took the subs out. gave them a GOOD bit of power. almost 2 inches of excursion later and 4 straight songs i determined they were fine. Reinstalled and the squeak is back. ERGGG dafuq.

holy deadener sir… props.. I really wish you had a full build log on smd showing all of your deadening and your full build. I seen a couple shots of your enclosure. I guess instead of asking you a billion questions about your cobalt build ill just have to wait and see what happens when i get one. Might take a couple pages out of that deadening book of yours though. Definitely some "waste" but I'm all for knowing something won't rattle.

Since I'm a deadener whore, I believe in 200% coverage. My next car will have retarded amounts of second skin. Thinking like 240sq feet of damp pro in a cobalt coupe with a bunch of overkill pro in the doors and luxury liner pro on the floors. I think 80-100 should be enough for double layer for those things mentioned.

Why are Mmats and Skar being talked about in the same sentence.... Mmats is designed and made in the USA, not another patent with one part changed remanufactured with a different label shipped over here. Its awesome stuff. I'm still slightly skeptical that all of their amps do above rated power with the power inputs and size they have. But as far as their speaker sets and subwoofers... Top notch. The pricing reflects how top notch they feel it is too. I wouldn't run it, even if money wasn't an issue but talking about them and Skar in the same sentence is like talking about DD and pyramid audio together. It just doesn't belong.
