Hey, so I'm thinking about installing a Sundown Salt-6 on my car and sorely need to upgrade my batteries before I do. I currently have a yellow top optima battery up front and 2 small 600w batteries(https://stingersolutions.com/products/600watt-secondary-battery) in the trunk trying to keep up with an Apocalypse AAB-4900.1D and it already isn't enough. Considering this will be a huge upgrade and from what I've seen the Sundown amp can do around 6900w at 1ohm before distortion, I NEED to upgrade before I put this amp in the car. Now here is where I need help, I am by no means a professional and am seriously out of my depth but I'm passionate about my little projects and would rather ask for help than to let my ideas die. Now I've done some research and some back and forth with gpt and decided I'd take my chances here. My vague understanding of what I need from the battery and what gpt(AI) told me landed me at this set of cells(https://www.expertpower.us/products/3-2v-230ah-lifepo4-cells), they build a pack of 12.8v with a maximum of 14.6v, I have installed a high output alternator which charges my current batteries at 14.3v. The cells have a maximum of 690a discharge current, which if what gpt(AI) said is correct should accommodate the maximum theoretical draw that the amp would need at peaks. That is about where my understanding ends, and so I would love to hear what y'all have to say and maybe get some guidance or maybe I need to know some crucial information that I don't know yet. Thankfully I’m not entirely doing this alone, as I have people who are experienced with installing this kind of stuff who are willing to help me, I just need to know what path to start on. I look forward to any replies!

Just recently tore down a build and I have 3 D3100's and a D2700 with one of the 1215 intellichargers. My question is what's the best way to store them? Acceptable temperature range, do they need to be on a shelf or cardboard or anything? Is the 1215 good enough for charging all of them? Can I just keep the charger plugged in for the couple of months they will be sitting? Thanks in advance.

Hey seen a lot of differing opinions on this was jw what the "up to date recommendation" is with respect to the d5100r and new xp series batteries

Would it be ok if i put a xs3100d in the trunk of my car? Would my alt be able to supply enough power for the 2 batteries? Also is is ok to have a smaller battery in front and a bigger one in the back? I would like to just put a 3400d in the trunk also instead of the 3100d if that would be enough power.

So I'm planning on running a bc5500 in the future and i have a few questions about what batteries i'll be needing in the trunk. Currently i've got an XS power d1200 under the hood and a DC power 270 amp alt with big 3 and what not. my question is what size batteries should i go for in the back if i'm looking to run the bc5500 at 1 ohm (5500 watts)? Also how many runs of 1/0 gauge should i have going to the rear batteries? I was thinking of xp 3000 but my voltage often runs at 15 volts and even up to 15.4v on cold days and i've heard that xp series doesnt like anything above 15v? Might a D series be better?

hi everyone. I recently installed some new subs and amp. 2-15" RE Audio XXX and a MA Audio HK-4000D. Heres the problem.Amp is going into protection mode when i open it up all the way due to (as far as I can tell) voltage dropping. It holds 13.3v most of the time but certain tones drop it below 12v shutting it down. Ive done the Big 3. Got 3 Kinetik batteries .2 HC800's under the hood and a HC3800 in the trunk. currently running stock alternator 120 amp. there is no available H.O. alternator made for my car(2002 hyundia XG350L) looking into having my stock alt beefed up. there is 1\0 gauge rockford fosgate power cable throughout. Also something weird, when the trunk is open it will shut down at half volume.trunk closed almost never shuts down... Any Ideas?? Thanks
