  5. Box is looking good steve, hopefully it sounds just as nice! I wouldn't recommend it 1st reason if you get dual 2 ohm coils which actually read 1.4 a coil you would be running that amp at 0.35ohms (parallel wiring) or 1.4ohms (series/parallel wiring). That amp sure wont take .35ohms. At 1.4ohms that amp wont make much power, especially after impedance rise, and the woofers wouldn't even move with much authority . 2nd reason being that 2 Ascendant Audio Mayhems will laugh at 2500 watts rms on the pair of woofers, and wouldn't even really get moving until you have 4500-5000 watts rms on them. You would be better off going with dual 2 ohm coils and 2 rf 2500bd. Which will be 1 amp per 1 sub @ .7 ohms. If 2 amps is not in your budget you would be better off getting the next model down, like the Havocs and get dual 1 ohm coils (which read .7ohms per coil) and with a series/parallel voice coil wiring config you would be running the amp at a safe impedance of 0.7ohms on one rf2500bd.

  6. I hear ya VIP, ive only seen 2 of these types of enclosures, and never heard one..... My intrests is wicked peaked on this build with the intergration to oem, as well as figuring out a working trunk build that will work better firing rear, or the forward sealing off deal. Im tuned in and wanna see some porting through the rear deck, and or some other ideas.....VIP, do me a solid, and keep an eye one this, as we may try some of the ideas on our project bud. Wish ya the best of luck Steve on the R&D, all the way up to the finish. From appetite to asshole. I think itll be a fun build. Great learning, and Certainly fun for the comunity, thats for sure. Not to mention, working on some of the new autos out there is going to take some outta box thinking, and seems itll only get harder.... dig it... Kyle

  7. Definitely don't mess with n8ball, don't buy from people who don't meet the rules, and never buy from someone with tiny nipples. So we're gonna have to register our nipples on our official feedback thread now?

  12. The smell is not glue burning off. You are smelling coil, but it will go away once the sub breaks in. What happens is with such a stiff suspension as the level 6 has, there is not enough coil movement in the gap to allow proper airflow and cooling. Once the sub breaks in and the coil can move freely in the gap, it will cool properly and the smell should go away.

  14. Lexus HQ contacted me and asked if i would like to come to their headquarters in Torrance, CA and drive the LFA for about 30 minutes. I said hell ya! Drove down, had lunch with them and then got the keys........and for at least an hour and half. We rolled around the los angeles area and even down to the beach to take some pictures. This car is down right beastly!!!! anyway here is some pics from the road trip and also from the day itself.
