  1. Couldn't you achieve that by having space between the box and side panels that is accessible from the rear of the car? EDIT: Or accessible from the rear doors (if you didn't seal the doors too) EDIT2: Or just have the terminals on the back of the enclosure, and wire from the subs to the rear of the enclosure lol
  2. Also, the more port area, the less it controls the cone, so if you have too much port area, you can have unloading issues similar to having too big of box. Too small of port area and you can loose output and have port noise.
  3. If he could fiberglass, than wouldn't it be possible to build the wall at a comfortable distance from the front seat, and then fiberglass from the B pillar in the gap between the B-pillar and seat? Would probably have to make damn sure there's clearance, but probably possible.
  4. What headunit do you have? Can you fit 6.5's in the front doors? I'd do: Components: Pioneer D-Series 6 3/4" Components: $130 Free shipping Speaker Amp: Aura RPM4200 4 channel: $99.98 Free Shipping Sub Amp: AQ1200D: $269.00 + Shipping Subs: Two Obsidian 12's (D4): $276 + shipping Total Cost: $774.98 + Shipping (On the Sub amp and subs) And you'll be getting some quality equipment!
  5. Although I would rather do 2 8's as well, if he wants to do 6.5's let the man do 6.5's! Lol Since you're going over RMS, I'd stick to a 4th order. Make sure the magnets are in the ported chamber so you can smell voice coil if they're getting hot. T-Lines are very efficient, but they reduce the mechanical power handling of the subs. You'll want an amp that's less than the RMS of the subs if you wanted a T-Line.
  6. http://store.soundso...-amplifier.html If you just want to run 3500 watts with no plans of upgrading, just save some money and get 4 Obsidian 18's.

  8. Budget? Do you already have an amp? What's your cars electrical like? What's your goals, SQ, SPL, or somewhere in between?
  9. Box should hopefully be functional and in my truck tonight! :) Next payday comes making it pretty.

will it sound good, thats the question!

  10. Sweet! One of the next things I'm doing to my truck is upgrade it's electrical. Would it be possible to fab this for a Ford 5.0L V-8? I really have no need for a 270 amp alternator, and would like to save some money if possible!
  11. We have a great Big 3 tutorial here: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/13280-how-to-do-the-big-3-tutorial/ Any questions, don't hesitate to ask!
  12. I wish I had a dash camera, oh shit moments all the time, and I'm not a bad driver either :/ Florida drivers suck, everyone's 80 and can't see a thing, not even a big blue SUV
  13. They more meant that it's bad for your HEAD if you crash to not have a sub strapped down! I'm partial to Sundown, so Sundown gets my vote! Can't go wrong with them!
  14. Dude, they found your post on an internet forum and responded wanting to make things right, above and beyond imo
  15. This is my Mom's dock in Port Charlotte Florida, the water line is usually 3 feet below that at high tide!
  16. I live in a trailer-house, so if/when a Hurricane hits I'm gonna have to go find a shelter. Should probably look into that actually , got a little too comfortable with not having a hurricane in a while!
