Couldn't you achieve that by having space between the box and side panels that is accessible from the rear of the car? EDIT: Or accessible from the rear doors (if you didn't seal the doors too) EDIT2: Or just have the terminals on the back of the enclosure, and wire from the subs to the rear of the enclosure lol

If he could fiberglass, than wouldn't it be possible to build the wall at a comfortable distance from the front seat, and then fiberglass from the B pillar in the gap between the B-pillar and seat? Would probably have to make damn sure there's clearance, but probably possible.

What headunit do you have? Can you fit 6.5's in the front doors? I'd do: Components: Pioneer D-Series 6 3/4" Components: $130 Free shipping Speaker Amp: Aura RPM4200 4 channel: $99.98 Free Shipping Sub Amp: AQ1200D: $269.00 + Shipping Subs: Two Obsidian 12's (D4): $276 + shipping Total Cost: $774.98 + Shipping (On the Sub amp and subs) And you'll be getting some quality equipment!

4 american bass xd 6.5 subs 4th order or T line?
BobbyG2 replied to jroo's topic in Subwoofers / Enclosures
Although I would rather do 2 8's as well, if he wants to do 6.5's let the man do 6.5's! Lol Since you're going over RMS, I'd stick to a 4th order. Make sure the magnets are in the ported chamber so you can smell voice coil if they're getting hot. T-Lines are very efficient, but they reduce the mechanical power handling of the subs. You'll want an amp that's less than the RMS of the subs if you wanted a T-Line. -
http://store.soundso...-amplifier.html If you just want to run 3500 watts with no plans of upgrading, just save some money and get 4 Obsidian 18's.

Budget? Do you already have an amp? What's your cars electrical like? What's your goals, SQ, SPL, or somewhere in between? -
Ok I will call you when I'm ready to purchase, thank you!

Sweet! One of the next things I'm doing to my truck is upgrade it's electrical. Would it be possible to fab this for a Ford 5.0L V-8? I really have no need for a 270 amp alternator, and would like to save some money if possible!

They more meant that it's bad for your HEAD if you crash to not have a sub strapped down! I'm partial to Sundown, so Sundown gets my vote! Can't go wrong with them!
