    It's actually a little cheaper if you look power vs cost. The brz1700 is $.1588 per watt and the Collossus is $.1562 per watt. Power vs Cost indeed. Good point man If you go with the colossus, I'd recommend upgrading the alt for sure, and probably 2 batteries in the back.

    There's a $200 dollar price difference between the lines. And the colossus is a "dual monoblock". And you already have a decent stock alt in the truck, so any voltage drop, or lack of drop in your case, is based on what ohm load you have the sub wired at.

    The Brutus is the lower power series... 2400 watts and below. It's great and does rated. I have the brz1200 and it does rated at 14.4v. Colossus does rated as well, it's the higher output amp from hifonics, greater than 3000 watts.

    Tapping the threads can be done with a press, but you gotta baby it lol. I still prefer to do them by hand. Go too fast with a press and you'll heat up and snap the bit.

    Directing the vents/cool air in the general location of the amp is fine. Putting the vents with the air shooting directly onto the amp would cause a condensation problem.

    ^^^ Do that. Don't do the A/C idea. A/C has moisture in the air and it will condensate on your amps and most likely blow them or throw them into protect.
