You might want to get something bigger than a .22 if you're trying to protect yourself in texas.

On the other hand, if you bring down the .22 with some cheap ass aviators on you should be well protected

Rigid is the way to go. Although see them in person before you buy them, I was surprised at how small the D2s were. Also cool thing about the rigids is you can run the different colored lenses which is good for bad weather, the amber I found out is good for snow and really bad rain.

hey hey ain't no shame in giving jill a little attention

  8. big thing to check up on with that BDS kit is the angle of the upper control arms and the clearance from the control arm to the coil over assembly. I would assume since it has a new steering knuckle it wont be a big issue, but it still could cause some extra stress up on the ball joints. ICON vehicle dynamics and Camburg Racing both make tubular upper control arms with serviceable ball joints that will help you out a TON. They are a tad pricy at $800ish a pair, but $800 for a set of custom fabbed UCA's with serviceable balljoints @ $175 each is a lot nicer than having to purchase new UCA's every time the balljoints wear out.
  9. Amazon prime freaked me smooth out this morning... $100 extra out of my account, messed my whole day up.

  10. CCA should be fine if you pay close attention for corrosion. Sure it's cheaper, but it also does not have as high of a current carrying capability. If it can be budgeted, another 50 ft wouldn't hurt to be thrown in.
  11. x2 plus atleast 2 runs of fused 1/0 OFC from front to back. Unsure if you have a front or rear battery, not too familiar but I'm thinking of rear battery mount. An XS D4800 should work, but it's not a direct dropin. You will need the "586" adapter posts. I'd imagine Mike Singer or Mechman can hook you up with a 320a hair pin with 200a idle output, that beast alt plus a D4800 and a D3100 like Broke suggested, should get you pretty set unless you are planning to wire at 1/2 or lower. Just to be on the safe side, I would pick up an extra D3100 or atleast a pair of XP2000's.

  18. led bulbs are fun... there is a cool kit that can retrofit your 4ft t8 or t12 fixtures to a self ballasting 4ft LED light...pull the old flouresecent ballasts out, wire one end of the sockets straight to 110ac...and bam, pop them in. https://www.1000bulbs.com/product/117550/LED-54104411.html?utm_source=SmartFeedGoogleBase&utm_medium=Shopping&utm_term=LED-54104411&utm_content=Direct+Wire+-+3000K+T8+Retrofit+LED+Tubes&utm_campaign=SmartFeedGoogleBaseShopping&gclid=CjwKEAjwo5OpBRDU64qO07OXq00SJADn5hYnQTKsZEtrhfp2nmFhoITdaAeP9sn7SvccuXuQHwI-_BoCaLzw_wcB https://www.earthled.com/products/feit-4ft-led-fluorescent-tube-retrofit Kinda like the ones we use at work...not exactly but fairly close I'll put it this way, 2 4ft LED retrofit bulbs are night and day brighter than 4 standard 4ft t8 bulbs. keep up the kickass work Steve, always doing things right.

What size tires can you fit with the leveling kit you put on?

My friend wants me to do a leveling kit on his 14 xlt and wanted to know how big he can go tire wise.

    2. boom50cal

      boom50cal

35's clear on 04-08 with a 1.5 or 2 inch level up front. rear clear's 35's stock. a 2.5 level up front with a litttttllle trimming should let 35's clear with enough offset.
