  1. Awe shit, Jon read my post, now I can see it, gonna receive a phone call from fedex "Hey, there's been an issue with your shipment from skyhigh, it seems we can't find your address location, are you still currently residing in bumfuck egypt sir?"
  2. Had a smooth box, then I bedlinered it

  3. Recommended Box Specs (Ported): 2.0ft^3 (Tune to 35Hz, yields F3 of 28Hz) Would say shoot for 13-15" squared port area per foot cubed
  4. I wouldn't mind getting a shirt and hoodie too if you guys still have any in stock
  5. Fosgate T1500bdcp is in, definately worth the money. Check out my build for a quick demo

i remember that as well Kylar. Shit, this last bday I had? I had to work. And that's it. No bday dinner, no gifts, nothing. Just... work, sleep, television. Don't think I even ate anything that entire day... what a great bday right?

Aren't you guys fucking funny, hmmm, let's see, work 2 jobs 60+ hours a week and bought myself an amp for my birthday, and then trolls come up to bitch about it. Pretty sure there is a meme thread here on smd, why don't you guys go post your whineass comments there and see if anyone gives a shit about it, cause I sure don't.

  7. Finally got word back on my amp's warranty status after 2 months! Not fixable and non-replacable so they issued me a store credit of $250 at onlinecarstereo.com. Any suggestions guys? Or thoughts on MB Quart Onx1.2000D?

I may be a snob but I will still say that I wouldn't touch any new MBQ amp, or any Maxxsonics amp for that matter.

Hmmm... I know my mbq speakers amp is pretty nice, I know I'm torn between this amp and an rf t1000-1bd. I am not sure I wanna cough up the extra $140 tho, and I will probably never deal with OCS again....

  8. ONX4.80 is in, sounds great even on cheap ass speakers!

Yeah, definately an awesome amp for the price, didn't realize it's being discontinued but glad I scooped it up!

  9. X2 on that dead Grandma's arm thing, that shit is funny! Think you should start a new thread to vent on and let us read some of your comebacks
  10. Just pulled the trigger on an MB Quart ONX4.80, thanks Sonic!

Thanks Raptorman, only hearing good things and good things at a good price makes me happy.

  11. With the ported box you are getting the front and rear wave of the sub whereas the sealed you are only getting the front wave and I am not sure if 1.15 ft^3 sealed per sub would give you the output you are looking for. I just switched my sister's single boston g110 that was in a 1ft^3 sealed box to a custom ported box 1.41ft^3 net (after port displacement) that was tuned to manufacture specs, and on the same power that sub went from tame and almost unnoticable to damn, are you sure that is the same sub? The SA series is very clean and has dual farady shorting rings on the coils to reduce distortion, so they produce very clean tight strong bass in almost any enclosure. I have heard the E-series is awesome too, so I am sure you could even put 2 E-series in a properly tuned and ported enclosure and you would be happy.
  12. Well here's a video that should ease your mind a little about your soon to be purchase
  13. They don't list a peak handling because different companies use different methods to determine rms and peak power handling, these subs are rated at what they can handle free-air running all day long without a break, whereas something else may be rated at peak what it goes up in flames at and rms at what half of that flame rating is. Sundown builds quality subs that can take way more power than they are rated at, but you also have to be smart about what you are doing. If you are questioning whether you want to buy one then do yourself a favor and buy one, fall in love and never turn back. And if by a small chance you don't like it (I haven't heard from anyone that doesn't) then you can turn around and re-sell the sub quick and without much of a loss as these things sell like candy, and they can be re-coned for $40.
  14. Wasn't it Rockford? Idk, kinda hit everyone, something about VVME-12 being better than an E-12 for less cost
  15. I thought it was kind of funny that the OP was bashing on Sundown in his VVME thread and is now praising them...
  16. I believe my SA-12 was shipped with a weight of 30lbs, and let me tell you these things have seriously heavy magnets. Considering the moving parts on a 15" weighs about 0.747036lbs and the weight of the 15" is 33 lbs, not sure of the weight of the frame but if it weighed even 5lbs the weight of the magnet would be around 27lbs, pretty beefy magnet for a 600 watt rms sub.
  17. Wait, you have all that fancy shit in your car and you're asking me for advice? I think you're messing with me, lol
  18. Break them in properly and you won't be disappointed at all, nobody believes all I have is 1 12 in my trunk, can't imagine what 2 with 2500 watts to them will do!
  19. I only have 1 but it is running almost identical tuning and size and port area as the box you designed and it sounds fantastic, I am sure you will be happy with yours set like you have. Not sure how they will handle that much power daily in that settup, but this guy burped 1 sa-12 with over 5k watts so I think you should be ok
  20. Fwew, just caught this deal at the last minute! Just bought a bulk pack of B-Stock and will definitely rate it when it is installed, thank you!
  21. Well man when you get home to check it out you will be impressed, this thing sounds good and is honestly pushing more air than my old 2 12" Duals in a bandpass box. I had my old subs firing right at the trunk before on a Kia Rio hooked up to about 500 watts and the rio's trunk and back seat didn't move as much as my shit does now in my 2010 Cobalt, absolutely sick for the price. I just shot a shitty video in the dark on my phone, but you get the idea, the sub isn't getting much power from my cheap pioneer amp but it still pushes it ok. http://s1324.beta.photobucket.com/user/Hellbilly429/media/VIDEO0016_zps0ffcc4a9.mp4.html
  22. Just got this sub, am in love and can't even put it in my car yet as the box is not ready... damn this thing is heavy! It is a little bit shorter than my old type r 12 but it is quite a bit heavier and this magnet is so wide, extremely impressed with the build quality of this thing. Thanks guys for the persuasion, haven't even heard the thing yet but if it sounds as good as it looks I will be very satisfied!
  23. Alright guys, I hear ya, I just saw all the other new stuff Jacob was posting up and was like hmmm... if a newer better one comes out like a few months after i buy one I will probably be pissed off... but yeah, fuck it, I wanna hear what all the hype is about these subs, noone in my area has even heard of sundown so I'll be the first to bring it around here as far as I know
