Awesome updates as always! For the cooling fan, the most airflow will come from a stock clutch type fan driven off of the water pump. Might free up a little electrical power too. The door thing I recognize too! I see one every day when I walk in the front door at work. lol  I like where this is going!

Thanks man!  Unfortunately, since this is a swap, there is only like 3" of clearance between the radiator and engine. So I'm forced to run efans without a shroud...im just thankful I have enough room to run pulled.

Yes sir, you got it. Electromagnetic lock. Im hoping 1200lb of magnetic force is enough to keep the door from flapping lol

Here are a couple more pictures of the lock setup.  I got the angle iron mount for the electromagnet ready to go today. Also got the plate mounted yesterday...might do a new plate and weld it in if this doesn't hold.

That should do the job just make sure you don't get your fingers pinched in it. They make smaller ones too that might fit for the top of the window frame if needed.

Keep the pictures coming!

Lmao.  Yeah, I actually have 2 more I bought to play with, one ultra cheap slim eBay one and one middle of the line full size one.  Figured I'd use the pricey one first and then experiment with the others on the driver door.

Got a bit of ambition last night and decided to go for broke and pull the caps outta the truck...i just hope I didn't bite off more than I can chew and not have to pull a bunch of all nighters finishing it up the week of our show on Sep 3rd. Lol. But anyway,  here's my capacitor bank in all its glory! I'm super excited!!

Thanks man!!! I'm stoked!  I'm running the same as before, 2 320a GM small case Singers for now. Decided that since I bought the JY lithium and all of these caps that I'll probably hold off on going 18v and adding more alts until after I get all of the amps and new subs in this winter. Should have enough electrical to at least give decent demos for a bit. That way I won't end up in the same boat as last winter doing 80 different things at once lol.

More updates to come today!  In the meantime let me know what you all think!

So update 2 for today is that bigvell02 posted his demo vid from the chicago show! Been eagerly anticipating this one and I'm not one bit disappointed with the result, the video is great!  Make sure you go check out his channel on YouTube, he has a lot of great videos!

And for my last update of the day.  I swung by the plastics dealer this afternoon and picked up a sheet of black .25" hpde for the bottom of the capacitor bank and a sbeet of clear acrylic for the sides...somehow fit them in the back of my 370z lol

Spent the last few hours welding a steel rod along the pinch weld of the bpillar on the passenger side. This way it fills in the gap that there will be between the 1/4" plate and the pinch weld, as well as giving me a much better point to weld the plate to because I'll be able to crank up the juice and not worry about burning through

I just finished the section I'm doing a little while ago.  It looks like shit due to the irregular width of the pinch weld and wanting to make sure both the inner and outer layer were fully burned together. The width was irregular due to us having to grind portions of it away to clear the door frame (the driver side wasn't nearly as bad since we learned from this one).  But anyway, it won't look bad once the plate is welded in since I'll grind it smooth.

Now I'm debating whether or not to head back out to the garage and do more or hit the sack lol.
