  1. So I was browsing one of the build logs around here, and complimented on some battery terminals that I had seen on some batteries, this was not Kevin's build log, and he did not make the terminals in question BTW. I jokingly commented with "I really like those battery terminals, so it'd be great if you could just send some my way. Thanks.". A few minutes later, I get a PM from Kevin asking me how many I wanted, what kind of batteries, and how many spots I need for terminals. I'm like whoa, really? Told him all the info, he shot me back a price, and I ended up getting these beauties in the mail today: 3 pair, 6 terminals each Top notch seller. Great communication. Please, do not hesitate to buy anything from Kevin. One hell of a guy here!

  5. Damnit scooter, now you have me going crazy too, lol. Love the work Steve. not sure...ill look tomorrow. They should be totally straight but they could be a MM off. I think the 2nd and 3rd amp have a smaller grey band at the top then the 1000, but im also not sure of that. I am pretty sure they are straight though. Thanks for pointing out my flaws though before i even finished the job. I don't know what i would do without you guys LOL. It's good. I don't think they could be any straighter. To me, it looks like the silver band on the 1000 is just a bit wider that the others. Looks amazing. ok i am at the shop and i decided to check it out. looks like the grey band on the punch 1000.1 is 9/16" and the one on the smaller amps is 7/16" looks like one is 1/8" bigger then the other.....so really, it aint my fault! LOL

  8. In all fairness to this amplifier, I've never tested one so can't say for sure. Although, basic math would suggest it isn't possible. From their published data: 20kw @ 14.4V with 86% eff. = 20,000 / .86 = 23,255 watts input / 14.4V = 1615 Amps DC. / Three 0 AWG = 538A per 0 AWG. Maybe possible, sounds a little sketchy. But the devil is in the details. That efficency rating is at 4 ohms. At 1 ohm it will be around 65%. They don't mention that. Now doing the same math with real numbers we see that we would need 2136A at 14.4V. This isn't happening on 3 runs of 1/0.

  11. I have been following this build and was wondering if there was any way I could help, I love seeing people help their buddies out, maybe I can help too. I see that rear deck and I just see a gold mine of how we can show your subscribers (and mine) the correct way that those beauty panels could have been made. Below you will see a rough idea what I was thinking. The lower wood panel would be secured to the deck, nice and solid, through the two insert panels that are to the left and the right. These insert panels would have grill fabric secured to them from behind that would then hide these fasteners. The main insert in the center would also have grill fabric affixed to it that would hide the port. All of the inserts would be molded into the bottom board with body filler formed up to the outsides. Also note that the inside of all of the inserts are chamfered for a nice looking appearance. So here is the deal, I have been following you for awhile, and have loved learning from you, maybe this is the chance to pay you back, I know you have this build under control, but I could tell at the end of the one video that its taking a lot of your valuable time to get your buddy all set, and I know how it can be doing stuff for friends for free. So if you want I would love to help you guys out. If I can get the rough dimensions off that deck, the cut out, and how far the cut out is from the rear glass and sides, I would love to fab these pieces up for you and ship it to you, I’ll take care all of the body filler etc, and do the prep work so that all you gotta do is wrap with your choice of fabric, and the mold the sides of the bottom piece to the edges of the vehicle. If you want we could even make it over sized so that you could cut it down to match once you have it in house. Either way I know you have seen my videos, so you know its going to look good! It would also be an interesting topic as “YouTubers” to collaborate together on. Let me know what you think bro! Mark

  12. Wish I could remember the model number or even find it. . . Back in the early 80's, I picked up my first pair of amps. Two Sanyo 50x2 amps. Had one amp on a pair of Pioneer TS-6906 6x9's and the other on a pair of 10" subs I took from my home speakers. 200 watts RMS. Knew NOTHING about car audio back then. Built the largest box that would fit behind the seat of my 78 Ford truck, divided it into 4 chambers and put a speaker in each chamber. No one in my town had ever seen anything like it in a car. Sounded great back then. . .I run into people from high school that I have not seen since we graduated, and the first thing they normally ask is "you still into all those loud car stereos?". I just smile and say "you have no idea".
