  1. just like it says.... you got one of those garbage volt meters, with the adjustment screw on the back? Chances are, it will break soon. Even if it doesn't, how can you trust a volt meter, that you get to choose the reading? How ridiculous is that? If you had a DMM with an adjustment screw, would you trust it? For voltage? how about impedance? If you had 4ohm speaker reading 3.6 ohms, should it be ok to adjust it to read 4? How about if you were checking a diode and it said the electronic flows from A to B......but you didn't agree, so you switched it so now it reads B to A? would you trust that? Forget reliability, any "meter" that can be adjusted to your taste is really nothing i want to rely on. anyway, that being said, if you have a working or NON WORKING volt meter, of any kind, you can send it to me and i will give you a $25.00 coupon code towards purchase of an SMD VM-1. Our product is MADE IN AMERICA by the best engineers in the 12v business (IMO), highly reliable (should last a lifetime), very fast and highly accurate. You cannot adjust ours to suite your needs. It is what it is right out of the box. here is how you do it. Send Volt meter to: Steve Meade Designs, Inc. 2160 Bell Ave Suite C Sacramento, CA 95838 please put a note with your name, email addy, phone number or contact info of some sort and when i receive it, i will send you the coupon code. don't know what the VM-1 is? here is a link to more info: http://www.wccaraudio.com/smd-12v-volt-meter-smd-vm-1.html ok now who is in? NO LIMIT either! If you have 5, i will give you that discount on all 5. If you like, you can email us [email protected] and let us know your's is on the way so we will look out for it. Promise to make a youtube video and after i see it uploaded, i will return ANOTHER $5 bucks to your paypal accnt. How is THAT for a deal? or, if you would just like to buy one, and don't have a trade in... use SMDVM1 (coupon code) and save $10 bucks off listed price. thanks everyone!

  3. Yup, any brand will do. One volt meter gets discount on a new volt meter. If you send 5 volt meters in and want to purchase 5 vm-1's i will offer the discount on all 5. One discount per VM. If someone were to order that many, you would essentially get one for free at some point just by default. until i stop it.....and no plans to yet.

  5. This is the official thread for the Tahoe build off we hope you enjoy these builds as much as we do! So we are doing a little friendly competition between Sky High and DC Audio. A few things fell into place and we ended up having GM SUVS dropped off at the same time so we decided to make some fun out of it. Rusty, his team, and DC Audios build will consist of the DC Audio Yukon 4 M1 LVL 6 18s with the aluminum baskets. 4 DC Audio 5Ks and a B pillar wall; just to name a few things. The Sky High's Tahoe will have 6 Lvl 6 m2 18s with aluminum cone and 4 DC 10ks in a B pillar wall. Rusty and I (Jon) will be both posting pics along the road to crushing every other Tahoe on the west coast. DC Audio and Sky High have a pretty good and close knit relationship if you guys did not know. This is a friendly build and we are only out to have fun and get some recognition out there for the amazing products going into the builds. So please enjoy the builds and your input is greatly appreciated. See you at Lake County Car Audio with both these builds for the finale!!

And Mine starts here - So Alot of you might remember the DC Yukon, Well its at the shop and were going to wall it. Not 100% sure what the plan is but for right now I just removed everything so i can start to measure out the shell. its got for gear (well before I took it all out) (2) 175.4 (4) 5.0 (4) M1 Lv6's (2) Alts (2) Strong Stinger 2150's, The rest of the 2150s are dead and will need to be replaced. The Yukon sat for a while and the battery's are now toast So Im not sure if it will go flat wall, clam shell, 4th order, 6th order. Part of it will depend on the square footage we end up with. On with pics of my progress today

  18. shit bro, i put a cig light adapter on it so you can plug that bitch in and go......and later on down the road, you can cut the wire and remove the adapter (no warranty voided) and hard wire it into the car. these are nice because you can actually keep an eye on ANY rides electrical system just by jumpin in and plugging it to the socket. My 90 accord doesn't have a system in it but i found out the alternator was going bad by plugging this in. Watching it dip down and stop charging while we were driving was a nice thing to see. We made it home on battery power because we saw right away there was a problem. Instead of running the car into the 10v range and killing it, we made it will 11.6v to spare My F150 charges a healthy 14.6 and i got 14.0 on my daughters Civic. Its just nice to have and easy to install....with the option to hard wire for the more advanced installer. Win.
