    I would keep your head focused on Singer, because honestly with DC I've had and other people as well had terrible customer service. It could take forever to get a response back from them if something goes wrong(from my experience) I finally gave up after they basically told me to give them $600 for a new one. Sent it over to Singer, fixed it and it's wonderful. Sold the DC alt to buddy still runs strong 4 years later of daily pounding. My current 270 Singer is just a damn monster, no problems for this baby.

    I have this app on my phone, I put in 2000 watts because I'm sure you aren't pushing out the full 2400 with Hifonics. I also assumed when you are banging your voltage is 13. The results were 205 AH, which is probably what your stock and d3100 will be close to putting out. it's saying it would recommened 102 amps for an alternator. So with that being said, I personally don't think you need an alternator and i'm not sure how accurate this app is either(ultimate car app) As far as mixing the two batterys, I'll let that go to someone who knows more

    Hmm, just got some SHCA 4G...Power wire, nice and thick...my ground wire is...well, feels thin sleeved and has small little line rips in random spots. Bad batch or what? Got it from DroppinHurtz.

    What the hell is the damn difference between "Mono-Subwoofer" and "Subwoofer" inputs on a headunit? Sonicelectronics is getting me all confused.

      Mono means it is summed, left and right signals come out the same. You need left/right separation for highs and mids, that creates stereo imaging. Bass is omnidirectional (you can't hear where it's coming from) so left/right separation isn't necessary. Also, there can be phase issues if a separate left/right signal are summed in the amplifier, so it is desirable to have a mono output.

    Smashed up my accord, whole front end is smoked. Scrapping her, taking my tax returns and being greatful for being a good employee at my work because my boss is lending me money to get a crown vic. Know what that means? A fat trunk and a fat build will be going into works soon.

    So I quit smoking ciggerettes 8 months ago, almost bought a pack yesterday and instead I gave one of those damn E-Cigs a try...I got the cheesy ass Blu e-cigs, i like how they are in general but its weak and I want a real e-cig. Can anyone direct me to some good quality brands?

    Month into beating up the ct 125.4....Still holding strong, love how theres a distortion clip sensor on it! helps keeping the noobies like me from f'ing it up :D

      put dual inputs in your dual inputs with 4 runs of OFC to both positive and negative.

      Seriously. Just toss in 1/0, ofc or cca shouldnt matter too much. Id run ofc just for the fact that all my amps with ofc in them have run cooler. Its important in this texas heat.

    Not the best at figuring out amp usage for my alt. It puts out 90 amps, assuming my 96 accord uses 40-50 amps...How many watts can I slam onto my baby without buying a new alt? She rests at 14.4.

      Depends on your battery too. if you answer your question in the most technical terms; voltagexamp=watts in theory, so at a maximum current stream it could do (14.4x50)=750watts from the alternator alone. But your battery stores power to work with your alt so thats where you need to check.

      To clarify that equation is very hypothetical based on amazing conditions, assuming your amp was seeing the full 14.4v and was only drawing at 50amps.....sooooo yeah.
