would you buy a working one?

Anyone know who makes a dual alt kit for a 1995 Chevy silverado, 5.7L V8? and offhand, meaning i cant take it to them. budget is whatever, i have a HUGE space to the left of my stock alt location and wanted to utilize it.

Forgot to add, this will fit ALL GM prior to 96 (up to 1995) with the same bolt pattern. short one on the left side and long bolt on the right side, mine had a 3rd on the back, but is not used with this alt. Bolt spacing is ~5.5in from center bolt to center bolt

i use kinetik, but XS has i think the FASTEST discharge rate aka more power FASTER than any other battery on the market, with i think it was stinger who was the only one close. Plus you can't deny what you see them in, and how great the CS is. You dont always pay ONLY for the product, i would rather pay more and get great CS than pay less and get shitty CS. XS is the way to go if you have the money, period.

the 1500 watt rms amp he has, he said clamped a CLEAN 1100 or so out of it(iirc). So if you are on a budget and have 200 bucks, you get a solid 1100rms.

1. Magnet size isn't as important as you think 2. asking how many db something hits is irrelevant because you car is different, enclosure will be different, power will be different, etc. 3. yes, db and loudness kind of follow suit of each other, but not always, so don't rely on what a sub woofer does db wise to make a decision (refer back to #2)

with a pair of recones you could basically have 2 level 4 whatever size for a little over the price of what a m1 was new. GLWS Decaf!

i would get a fresh razor and trim the overhang in the port, then get a piece of MDF, make a 2in wide 45, paint it black and glue it into the port corner.

i would try the american bass. their VFL series are tanks, probably around the same build quality out of that amp too.

i hear that economics is a better choice than business. something with there are a ton of business majors and two something with a different aspect. anyone enlighten me who is taking economics?

It is more of a theoretical performance question alpine.

the only way to "stress" an amp so to speak, is raise the signal voltage from the hu in turn raising the volume in turn more wattage and heat. A stronger sub isn't going to inhibit watt production or strain the amp.

5k clamped..................... maybe in the right environment. Just a 5k amp, they should do wonderfully.... of course also in the right environment. ill be running 2 XLs on 5k soon.
