I have to work tomorrow, but the kids are staying home from school with mama and they aint going anywhere till Im home. And the prepper in me is saying to load up a cpl AR mags and haul that bish around in my trunk for the day. Just in case.

Fucked up day, just had to process a car we grabbed out of a police impound. Triple murder, double suicide. 3 little children passed away in this car, and the PD left everything except the bodies in the unit, I had to do the property list and post repo inspection. I had to deal with the blankets and pillows, and coloring books these kids died with. Some things cannot be erased once they soak in. Heavy day here, wish I wouldve stayed the fuck home.

Was just informed by my ol lady that I am driving to Roseville, Michigan on Saturday Morning to pick up my Xmas gift from her. turns out she tracked down a replacement for my Sphynx, Mushu, that just recently died. Awesome!!!!!!!

It's cool man.. In my opinion, no, no real downside to a long lasting design. Albeit, maintenance is important, as well as proper use... Anything can break sooner than it should if not used correctly. Perhaps the only drawback would be a higher initial cost to get into, but then again, buy once = cry once.. one expensive suppressor is most likely cheaper than 2 so so ones, so you would still be better off in the long run. Our cans arent going to be super exotic, or made from crazy materials, but we are still expecting them to have no problem outlasting 2 or 3 barrels, which again, not many people shoot that much, so realistically our cans should last a lifetime. I am still learning about suppressor design, and so is the owner/head builder, but we feel we have some very nice designs in the works, and once our paperwork shows up, we will be build a couple different styles in the calibers we are planning to offer, and then lots of testing (ie shooting) to check longevity and which design we feel to be the best to offer. R and D and field testing shit has got to be the best part of this job... At this time, I elieve we are planning on offering 5.56, 7.62, 9mm, and .22lr.. with the ability to build others in the near future. Things are slow going as we dont have a huuuuge budget and have been so swamped with build AK's and gunsmith work, but the ball is rolling. Hopefully next week I am going to have time to start building my wife's AK... should be fun, going to do a nice lightweight, wood furniture, classic looking rifle for her, keep it simple and nice and light.. aiming for ~ 6.5 lbs fully loaded and ready to shoot. It looks we are caught up on the first batch of AK's we sold, so now I can build more toys for me. Im wrapping up a nice Para p13 build for a friend tonight, has a few minor mods, and a wicked duracoat job, sprayed down a handful of ak assemblies last night in matte black (over a parkerized finished) and my G17 might get a bitchin duracoat job this weekend as well... maybe Ill quit being such a bitch and get some pics taken and start a thread finally. Once we ave a few more things dialed in and the web site is closer to done, Ill actually tell ya'll the name of the shop so you can check us out on FB and the web.

Bobby, 10k through a can ain't shit now-a-days. Call YHM, and ask them about their 5.56 Phantom with 80k through it with no real loss in performance. Yes, I said 80,000.

8ight, thanks for the input... But it wasn't needed, not being a dick, but did you miss the whole " waiting for paperwork from ATF to build our line of suppressors" bit? If one is smart enough to be a licensed manufacturer and to also get the required forms, and also intelligent enough to build suppressors... Its probably a safe assumption that he knows the life span of them... not to mention the whole part about not having to spend 700 to 900 bucks on a can, since Im building them helps too. And you must be doing something wrong as to have such short life spans from your cans, unless of course you are shooting full house ammo in an SBR or something, but, I will admit some designs do have a much shorter lifespan then others.. but are you aware that Gemtech and also YHM have prototype/ early production suppressors in 5.56 and 7.62 with more rounds through them then most people would shoot in several lifetimes and they are functioning just fine (Im talking big big round count)? In todays age, it is not to much to expect a properly built and maintained can to out last an average barrel. Also did you miss the part about " subsonic hand loads" as well? you made a point of telling me to use subsonic ammo, after I had already stated I was doing so... And btw, no tax stamp on dealer demo's either. Makes running a can 24/7 very cheap. Thank you, please drive through. Just wait till we roll out a few FA demo models...woot. At this point in my life, I play with, shoot, modify, build more guns in a month then a lot of you will in a lifetime. No joke. Not to mention I have now have access to things some people will never get closer to than dreaming.
