    My thoughts, exactly guess were doing it wrong...... EDIT- ive never LOST a belt, but, when your 700 miles away from home..... one way..... well, shit. If it shows wear, squeaks, ... well shit. And some of us make a bit more amperage, run hot under hood. Then again, maybe im doing it all wrong....I also made my own dual bracket. It isnt "perfect". So, i just take some extra precautions...... just me I always keep an extra belt and tools to change it in the tool box of my truck just in case but never had to

    Im in no way recommending you to do this but back when I had my sierra I was running a sa8 v2 on an ab 100.1 @ 1ohm and it straight got down on 1500w

    singer has my 3 1/2 year old 350 amp alt and he ended up upgrading it to a 340 amp hairpin for the same price as repairing the old alt
