  1. Wouldn't the gains be lower if the gains were set with the car off? To me it sounds like you should set your gains and at what ever voltage you set them is where the amps would clip at. So if you set it with 14.4v then anything below that your clipping?
  2. USPS has freaking thieves!!!!!! stole grants cc1 i was returning.

  3. its gotta be wired at 4ohms and its gotta be the wrong box for those x's... a sundown 3500 and those subs should be night and day to your last set up.
  4. 147.6 at 34hz!!! Too bad it was 12.3v. Damn idle output. Time for a better alternator.

My pully is already too small. It's causing belt slip at idle.. I need an alternator that can make more power. With out belt slip it does 117amps at idle at 172amps revving.

For instance. The dc270xp does 190amps at idle and it has a stock size pully that will slip much less but the unit itself makes more power with out requiring it to have a crazy small pully.

Werd. I ment for that EVENT. But yep, the smaller you go, the less area the less it will stay in contact. Your right. Just time for a new alt. if I was was you I'd do a hair pin/6phase. It's exactly what you need.

  5. Whale calls from a pony wall are in the build log if your curious. Testing new subs.

  6. Im officially set up with the cc1 and dd1. First time ever. Missing a sub so i can't test the results on the bass amp. But I'm loving the 4ch results so far. Lets just say my previous subsonic was below 20hz. Now i have it at 25hz. Ouch.

  7. If your reading this, go vote in SOTM. We gotta show Steve we still want it around before we lose a awesome part of this forum. Go vote and leave comments to convince him otherwise.

I don't like that rule either, since I won't be getting another vehicle for a couple years. I guess I could enter other vehicles I build but not many would be SOTM worthy.

That or have a 1yr waiting period for winners to apply again

  8. Used ones pop up all the time and there might be a guy local who has one near you to avoid buying one. Dd1 is a invaluable tool IMO.
  9. Rofl... OP.. Its false, and Steve purchased a 1500 to prove everyone wrong out of his own pocket

What happened to your dd-1 wires?

    3. Swordlordboy1234

      Swordlordboy1234

the dd1 wires broke off. the negative did. So its hard to get a reading on the dd1 unless you hold the ground to the metal plug on the dd1... which in turn sends AC voltage in your fingers and kinda tingles... New wires from tony are shipped as of yesterday! And i love the dd1. Its been a life savor for me.

  12. so a already crazy van just added another 10k of power. 4 ns-1

  13. any one here play RTS games like sc2 or wc3?

      I used to play SC2

  14. Sooo... i re threaded the d3100. Any one want a deka group 31 holding 12.9 volts?

  15. Can anyone fix threads on a d3100? Negative terminal has like 5 threads that are not working.

LOL, this is probably one of my very very worse off ideas. Buy a spool of silver solder, melt with a torch into the hole and re-drill/tap it lol. Would probably be too weak to work though.

a lot of the that stuff the original recordings were so god awful all the bass in the world wont help. I mean why do you have to make it sound like you are singing into a plastic fucking cup? Why is there a high-hat and bass and someone rhyming and nothing else? grow some fucking talent! I'm bitching about the artist, not coffee.

This one got good reviews, I'll see what's up tomorrow. The threads are already damaged. That's what I'm trying to fix. And Xs said as long as I don't go deeper it should be fine.

    3. Soccerballzs

      Soccerballzs

Nice and slow you can do it.

  18. andddddd i think a sub speaker wire came a little loose on the terminal cup. Lows hit, and only 1 sub moves. All higher notes work just fine. zzzzzz.. Ill fix tomorrow. FTS. Its raining and i got a headache.

  19. Most normal music it's okay to tune with -10 or find someone with a -7.5 track. Decaf music needs a -5db track. Also there is a video on youtube done by Steve showing how to set up your system off Bluetooth, aux, USB, and dc using his dd1

  21. that moment when shit just doesn't hurt you as much as it used to.. I remember when my hifonics 12's tickled. Now with 146db on music its almost like i can't hear it. Sigh.. Time for more power.

    1. Nikitaaa

      Nikitaaa

Double your power like I did:) nice little gain

    2. Swordlordboy1234

      Swordlordboy1234

i just did that a couple months ago. LOL. skar 2500 to ct 2500

    3. Nikitaaa

      Nikitaaa

Thats not quite what I had in mind unless that ct 2500 is a 5k..

      I had a saz 2500 and upgradrd to a ab 500.1

Skar 2500s are actually very nice powerful amps

  22. SOO... How do you guys feel about clipping indicators on our fav amps bass knob? Are the all the same? Are they actually accurate?

    2. ChevyBoy95

      ChevyBoy95

Some seem accurate, but since iirc they detect clipping from rail voltage, they are generally not right. Set with an oscope or dd-1 and fuck the red clip light.

    3. Swordlordboy1234

      Swordlordboy1234

That's also what I've seen around. Someone good with amps can you explain the rail voltage thing?

    4. kirill007

      kirill007

Useless, if you don't hear or see any stress then it doesn't matter that you are clipping.
