  1. Not to sure what you want achive, i normaly go 0.6net each @ 32-33hz but seens as your not throwing to much power at them,
  2. no baffle the hole box is 1.5" what ive found best is to build the box in 0.75 and then build another box out side it so as every join is overlapped edit like so, but you could just stick 2 together and cut at same time and glue/screw like a normal box
  3. here's a slot port design that will work well with the space you have
  4. You may wish tune spl higher around 42, but you see what i mean about removable port
  5. after trying to draw it up, there is no way you can fit 7 6" ports in youll have to do a removable slot port, 1 for daily 1 for spl
  6. for spl youll need 7x 6" aero with 4x 6" your on the border of bare minimum and i mean bare, i dont normally go under 10sq"per ft with areo, as for 18" youll only be able to fit 2 as apposed to 4x15, and in spl cone is king, also if you using psp the max length of their ports is 17" 18 overall edit 4x15 is my 2c
  7. 2.5-3.5net each sub is what I would want so 10-14net for 4 For a box that size you'll want 1.5" all round so 2x 0.75" all over, and maybe even an extra .75 on the sub surface With aero ports you'll need 9-13sq" per for for daily and more for spl Slot port is 12-16sq" per ft and more for spl You can either use a removeable port and go slot or aero and cover them If you don't want to use 6" you can use 8" and use less of them
  8. just get another 1 or 2 aq 18 and increase the wall, all i can say is, do what best for you, fuck what everyone else is doing
  9. with out box info, and sub placment, im just throwing this up when you compete then cover some ports for daily with that style box youll also be able to cover just 1 or 2 ports and get 33.x hz and 36.x hz so youll have more options with tunning
  10. No way tune them that low, Unless thats what your after, get the tuning up to 36-37hz, and save yourself so net volume, Also not home so can't use any programs, as for port/sub unless your after numbers, Then sub up port up or fwd will do just fine, Why only 42w you should be able to go close to 52" 54"
  11. get the sealed up to 2-2.2net and ported down to 3-3.5net and higher tune
  12. and a shit load of space, how much do you have?
  13. I've seen theis things tuned to 40-42 and still get low, Have fun with the build How much power you throwing at them
  14. I would recommend an L port as well, I tried one like yours and I got port noise out of the box. Fare coment what was it for
  15. Looks very familiar, What's wrong with what you started building
  16. your got around 4net @ 31hz to work with so without knowing the sub your using there isnt much more i can do, a assume its a dcl5 18, but if it a 15" you have more then enough space for it
  17. Myself idd post some meserments Work out what you have to play with And decide from there Knowing what you are look at we no roughly what your willing to spend so unless your dead set on that setup, well be able to assist there as well But knowing your usable space is a must first
  18. People need to get out of the 13-16sq" of port per ft idea It just a rule of thumb The port area has more to do with cone area, Xmas and power then net volume of box A 12" sub with 15mm Xmas does not nees the same size port area as a 12" sub with 50mm Xmas, because they both recomend 1.5-2cuft net Post what sub you have and what amp and wiring configuration your planing on running, And some diamenshions for where it's going Big3, alt upgrade, and what ever else you have, And well try to help you out
  19. I just built 2 boxes for $38 Our sheets here are 4x8 for $30 and $6 for glue And 3ft of 1" round for $2 1gross is a bit big if it sealed each But it will come down to power
  20. you can often build a custom box for the same price as a prefab, the only prefab, i ever recommend are the ones supplied by the sub manufacture, if you have no skills or tools to build, and even then a poorly made custom box will cream it
  21. If i remember correctly, and its the same bloke, that box blew apart from to much flex and insufficient bracing
  22. what amp do you have at the moment what box is the 2x10 in, and any info on the box, what H/U big3 yes/no, high amp alt, system voltage when at full tilt You may have it wired wrong, or incorrect box, there not the best subs on the market but on 1k you should be herd coming once you no all that get out the tape and measure you trunk, DONT buy a sub and make it fit, work out what you have and chose the best option to suit that airspace
