  1. OP, last I saw .223 ammo could be gotten for $300 for a thousand rounds if you shop right, .308 was over $500. If you're looking to shoot your gun .308 is a very expensive way to go, and I wouldn't recommend it for any newbs, specifically because it's so cost prohibitive.
  2. You're mostly right about your analaysis of AR15.com. I mostly linked it for the pic thread, so he can see what he wants. Wasnt a personal attack on you bro You're right, we're cool bro.

  4. All Ruger 10/22s are basically the same except for a few differences in features. They all accept the same magazines. I would check out budsgunshop.com They've got to be one of the biggest gun sellers on the net.
  5. I would also tell you to get a ruger 10/22. You should also buy as many of these as you can: http://www.midwayusa...d-polymer-black As a matter of fact, I'd buy the magazines before I bought the firearm, because IMO there will almost always be Ruger 10/22s for sale but the higher capacity magazines will dry up/ be made illegal. I'd also buy as much ammo as you can afford, after buying as many magazines as you can afford. From what I've read, the GSG is very finnickey, I wouldn't recommed it to anyone who doesn't already own a dozen firearms. As far as the aftermarket magazines, almost everything except for the exact one I've listed can be garbage, so I wouldn't buy any other magazines for the 10/22 other than Ruger factory.
  6. Good to hear that OP. I don't have the knowledge to set you up with box specs otherwise I would. What's your plan from here?
  7. IMO the theatre should be sued. They have a "WE BAN GUNS IN THESE PREMISES" sign posted. That implies that they will be providing security and they obviously didn't. The theatre took away the right to self defense with a firearm to anyone who followed the theatres rules.
  8. Anyone who knew that something wrong was happening and did nothing to stop it might as well have done it themselves. IMO the penalties imposed on the school are fair, but the individual penalties imposed on the late paterno are a bit much. Keep a building named after him, remove everything else. Edited to make a post relevant to the thread.
  9. IMO if you put your car make and model in the thread title you'll have better chances. But if this was just a "I got a new car" thread, disregard. I'm happy for you OP!
  10. You're gonna be pushing triple the cone area and more than double the watts of his system and he thinks he's still gonna be louder? That's a good one.
  11. I've done some research on lasers, and I bought what was supposedly a 5mw laser off of deal extreme for $8. I got 5 of them for myself and some friends and I kept the most powerful one. My guess is that is was 20-30mw, but I think I'd like one a little hotter, but they can be super dangerous. If you read on the laser forums the guys playing with the 1 watt lasers need to wear eye protection at all times because the laser can burn out your retena before you even realize it's happening and you're blind in one eye. One guy dropped his laser and it shined him in the eye for a milisecond and he had serious eye damage. There was a long thread somewhere about it. The doctor's pic of the blood pooling to the damaged spot of his eye was his avatar, IIRC. A hot 5mw laser pointer is really pretty sweet. Good luck.
  12. This is a great opportunity for you. Print up business cards with your name, number, and an email address on them and give them to every homeowner you do work for. In a year or two you might be able to be charging $60 an hour and be booked a month or two out. If you're looking for advice, I'd tell you to learn to do as much other stuff as you can, because you'll be more diversified in your skills, making you more valuable, thus helping to ensure that you're working full time, for yourself, within a few years. I know a handyman/home remodler who works as many hours as he wants to each week, charges what he wants, is booked months in advance, who even turns down jobs because he's so well regarded. That could be you in a few years. Congratulations and good luck!
  13. Oh my goodness that van is amazing. OP, I'd like to see your numbers when you get an aftermarket head unit. Was your car rimmed up when you bought it? It looks good:)
  14. If no one has said it, awesome avatar man! Do you live in europe? I know the Hoff has a pretty big following over there.
  15. How many HZ was the first sustained bass hit? I'd be covering my ears for that one too.
