  2. you should have a tv show like those shows that show the dirtiest restaurants and they help fix them, but yours would be fix horrible installs like this! and tuned to see what you do with the ride..

  7. I changed a 6 foot piece of 4 awg to 1/0 awg from distribution block to amp and gained around 100 Watts on the 2 ohm run!! That is the stuff dealers need right there. Wow your kidding, 100 watt gain is ridiculous. And that is something you would have probably Never found without the AD-1. I hope some of these guys realize what a huge deal that little gain is, it just goes to show how many little gains can be found and I know not everyone is going to be able to put one in their garage but even if I can't go back to work I'm going to see if our team can throw a fund raiser and stack some cash for one.

  9. This would be the ULTIMATE tool in any shop. I would use this for everything, from showing customers their junk amp really doesn't do 1000 watts to tuning systems. After all my treatments are done and I get back to work I'm defiantly making a presentation to the owner to get one of these as a selling tool. Even though it's going to be more of an install tool for me lol.

  11. I should get the new Rockford Fosgate T3 separates this week. I should have these kick panels MOSTLY done tomorrow. Then i will GLADLY rewire the amp rack and run all new Rockford 1/0 wire for him. I feel bad he got taken so hard. I NEVER stop my projects to start another wreck like this, but i known Moke for 30 yrs and i gotta take care of him. It will sound amazing when i am done. Then again, other then rattling, i don't know how the box sounds. If i can get a bigger piece of plexi over that 1/4 window, it might sound better. If not, it's new box time too.

  13. So my good friend of 30yrs stops by because he just got his car back from a local shop and it don't sound very good. He want's me to toss my DD-1 on it and clean it up some. So i am like, bring it over. Within 5 minutes, i realized there is nothing i can do for it other then re-do it. It was so bad, i really have a hard time believing a shop did it. Anyway, he just swapped in the 6.0, has some 6 piston Corvette brakes on the way, so this car has potential to be pretty legit......but the system. UHHHGGGG. I stopped the Honda project for a week or two while i square this away for him. Already tore everything out, ordered brand new Rockford Fosgate T3 mids/highs (2 sets) and a new Rockford Fosgate 3sixty.3. He already has a Punch 1000.1, Punch 400.2 and Punch 200.2. The bass amp runs 2 P3 15's in a bandpass box with a custom 1/4" plexi window. The mids and high amps were just running all sorts of random speakers. I will re do everything, go fully active using Lows (1000), Midrange (400.2) and tweet (200.2).....the way it should have been. Not gonna say the shops name, but the owner (of the car) is so fucking pissed he ripped out the amp rack right in front of me as soon as he saw the rats nest.....he is LIVID. Here is the car. He paid 5 RACKS to have this installed. Like i said, he was so pissed when he saw the rats nest buried under the rack, he ripped it to shreds right in front of me before i could get pics of it LOL. Moke is not a small guy either. This was buried behind the worst kick panel cover i have ever seen. Forgot to take a pic of it but i will add it later. These by-nines were held in by BUTYL and some silicone sealant. Some of the screw heads werent even in the mounting holes. Picture the head of the screw just hanging on for dear life on the SIDE of the speaker...that's what i found on the driver side. Oh, the new RF mid didn't have a tweet.....wonder where that went.

  14. We've got the AD-1 Amp Dyno very close to production trim. Here are a couple of demo videos showing some of it's capabilities. Currently the AD-1 Amplifier Dyno is the only self contained test system that can measure RMS Continuous Power and Dynamic Power of both Full Range and Bandwidth Limited (subwoofer) Amplifiers in the world....and it does it in YOUR CAR! Please enjoy these two videos. The first video demonstrates the gain setting capability of the newly developed DD-1+ technology built into the AD-1. DD-1+ allow the user to make variable gain overlap settings in 1dB increments, even if the system is dirty and reads over 1% Distortion BEFORE clipping. The AD-1 amp dyno's DD-1+ technology can also be used in EXACTLY the same manner as the classic DD-1 if the user chooses. Link below The second video demonstrates the dyno loading and precision power measurement technologies in the AD-1 Amplifier Dyno. Learn about Certified Dyno Mode (which the Jeep's system failed due to headunit's noisy output), Uncertified Dyno Mode (which is the backup in the event you run into a problem like we did), and Dynamic Power Mode which measures power output during a very short term "bursted" signal. This is the industry standard for measuring "Dynamic Power" or "Headroom". Link below

  15. you will soon. I have a whole army of amps in my collection - but one thing everyone has to remember. This is a tool and the main purpose is to show you differences in changes you make to a particular car. You are gonna see a lot of 1500 watt amps doing 1200 watts (for example) and not because the amp sucks but because something else in the system sucks or is not adequate. That 1200 watts might turn into 1500 after a new alternator and a new battery, and some 1/0. A better ground might get you 75 watts. This tool is all about DYNOING the amp, just like you dyno a car. Run it. Make changes. Run it again. Make changes. Run it. So keep that in mind. This is not to hurt anyone's feelings or to bash on any brands who's amps don't make rated power. More then likely, you can blame the car.... coming soon! Thanks everyone!

  16. Moke is probably 6'3 and 300lbs - his feet won't hit. There is plenty of room. The new panel only comes out past the stock panel about 2 1/2" on the back side and almost all the way against it on the front side. These don't take up to much space. Plus this car is BIG lol. thanks.

  18. There are just so many scenarios where this tool would be beneficial, something like this could do wonders for even your most basic of installs. Or say a customer comes in and you can show them how a simple amp upgrade could make their entire system like brand new. I thought that the DD-1 was an exciting tool and I freaking love mine. For some of the younger guys or guys who couldn't afford an O-scope it was a chore setting some of them up and before hand helds I had a gigantic monster on a cart we had to wheel around. So not gonna lie unless it was a big install we tuned by ear LOL. Now with the DD-1 or AD-1 it's made our jobs easier and protected customers investments. Your mind is amazing Tony. Oh wow did I just have one of my Dad's "back in my day" moments? LOL

  21. Wow this will be quite the shop tool. Out of curiosity how does it go from that massively clipped square wave we saw to knowing how much overlap there is? I'm really intrigued by that

  26. Ok we removed the door panels, they are getting replaced with brand new ones...but look what was behind them. I stopped by his house to show him the progress pics and he told me that THESE were in the kick panels, another shop had installed them and they never sounded good...so they sold him some Fosgates, because "that" should fix it. Nice tweeter placement. FTW! Ok back to the new kick panels. Time to make the screens.
