  1. Voltage pre/post fuse? What wire terminals are you using and how did you attach them to the wire?
  2. Anyone having massive delays regarding USPS? I have a package that was supposed to be delivered on the 6th, but it's been sitting in Florida since the 3rd

  5. What's with these "diet" people. Eat right, exercise, look good, feel good, then stop, eat like crap, and grow fat again. Rinse and repeat. What's the deal? Seems like I see this all the time

Just you wait you skinny little shit. There will be a time where you can't eat what you want when you want and still fit into those size 0 skinny jeans designed for women.

  6. Just to clear up battery confusion: AGM is lead/acid. Its battery chemistry. However, most stock batteries are what's called flooded batteries (battery plates are submerged in a pool of electrolyte). And AGMs have a fiberglass matt between the plates that is saturated with the electrolyte. In peak condition, an AGM battery will typically rest around 13v. While a flooded battery is 12.7 or so. Mixing then will cause the AGM to back feed into the flooded battery, trying to equalize voltage. And all that will happen is you discharge your AGM with the car off. In short: keep battery construction the same, and ensure that all the batteries you use are if similar resting voltage

  8. Briefcase install. That's definitely something I haven't seen before. Pretty cool! Props for ingenuity and creativity on this
  9. Just to clarify: The battery drops to 13.5 with a load test outside the car. In car I drop to 15.9 (at the inputs on the amp)
  10. If fluids aren't compressible, why does sound travel through them at a certain "speed"? Wouldn't that mean there is some level of compressability?

      Krakin

My father told me once that when they are doing calculations at the nuclear power plant, they account for the compression of water. Also said it's not much , but still calculated.

  11. I guess I'm a bit old fashioned. I'm still stuck in 2013

  12. For what it's worth, my D1400 with a 150a load drops to 13.5v.
  13. I'm running 14v, charging at 16v right now. Love it. I'd say run 16v (or maybe 18v?) if you can. More power
  14. You want to know if you are clipping when playing a loud track right? That's basically a real time clip indicator, would work for this perfectly. Turn it up as loud as possible, but you can see real time if you are over the limit. Unless I'm misunderstanding you or something
  15. You want similar resting voltage and same battery composition (gel, flooded, AGM)
  16. You know that huffing noise dogs make when they get happy? That's the canine equivalent of laughter

My dog was just doing that. I didn't know this. Thanks ;)

  17. Think of it like this: Gain is only the ratio between input voltage and output voltage. Your goal is to set the gain as high as possible - to the highest voltage without clipping or distortion. Not going to go into great detail, but for the sake of explanation: Box rise is a change of impedance across a frequency range. And power is V2/R. To tie it together: You hold your amp's voltage (gain) constant. Your box rise will change based on a given frequency, and when your ohm load changes, so does your power output, in accordance with the equation above. Higher box rise = less power output.

I'm same. Don't want someone to get me something I don't want so I say what exactly it is. "I want a Pepsi" "I want a Dr Pepper" etc.
