  1. it is but what is your electrical like cause she gonna be pulling quite a few amps
  2. you can't really over work an amp unless you are running below its stable resistance load or you are using too much gain and sending an unclean signal (distortion and/or clipping) which is caused by using too much gainoverall you can run 2 4ohm subs in parallel or a single dual 4 ohm sub with the coils wired in parallel
  3. i know but not all subs have the same coil resistance there are4 ohm single coils 8 ohm single coils 2 ohm dual coils 4 ohm dual coils 1 ohm quad coils and many more wiring options hope i am not force feeding you there are also different wiring methods that can double the resistance (series) or cut in the resistance in half (parallel)
  4. That's kind of my question. I'm not sure on the power of the amp and whatnot. Can it handle 2? I think the RMS cap is 500 watts if I'm not mistaken? from what i understand it makes 500 rms at 4 ohms and 2 ohms I hate to sound like a total mouth breather, but what exactly does that mean? I'm a tad new to all this lol. a subwoofer (coil) puts a load on the amplifier and becomes part of a circuitohms is a resistance placed in the circuit to keep from shorting out and having amp go poof on you when the power goes through the subwoofer it will cause a fluctuation magnetically causing the coil to move up and down to create sound
  5. That's kind of my question. I'm not sure on the power of the amp and whatnot. Can it handle 2? I think the RMS cap is 500 watts if I'm not mistaken? from what i understand it makes 500 rms at 4 ohms and 2 ohms
  6. Let me guess, your box is tuned to 35hz right? so you are playing a 40hz tone and you are right in you tuning band and your subs are most efficient there. You are seeing 500 watts at 4ohms Considering that amp calls 4 4ga wire, you are probably pretty close to doing it's rated power. But I don't know your amp that well. That thing is huge! yes they are a surfboard i have seen them beforebtw from what i hear they are pretty close to rated but i don't know specs too well
  7. really...really well its a tool i guess you can still make mistakes with a toolsuch as using it incorrectly
  8. well by the looks of things i will be scraping my face across the ground for preorder price one day before it ends lol ordered
  9. gonna say a soundstream ref. amp skar audio 4500.1 zapco zx-26kd zapco z-3kd
  10. They Dont Sound Bad At All!!! Each Subs Has Its On 2 Inch Port I Do Like Em But I Feel Like I Can Get More Out Of Em... The Hit The Tight Bass Notes Well Kinda In And Out On The Deep Lows the way the woofers play all comes down to the box design. unfortunately 2 inch ports doesn't really help whatsoever. i assume you mean the high notes play well and the low notes dont. indication there that the box is tuned pretty high, or maybe its a prefab which are generally tuned high. Yeaa Thats What I Meant Thanks... I Built The Box Myself And Yeaa It Ended Up Being Tuned High Due Too Space But It Sounded A Hell Of Alot Better Once I Did Port It But I Planned On Building Another One Or Ordering One From Dave The Bx Guy dave the box guy =$$$
  11. is that the crappy one that you can rarely rely on in the instrument cluster
  12. I don't think Under powering is going to harm anything as long as it's a clean signal. If under powering was harmful then running my subs at half volume would burn them up. It's when people run an underpowered amp and use the gain knob to compensate and start clipping that you have problems. 400 to each with 4 is going to be pretty much the same as two with twice the power. Since double cone area OR double power equals twice the output in theory. I this otherwise my quantum audio would have poofed 2 years ago and right now my 1500 i am taking it easy cause i don't have the electrical to back it upedit had a mystical letter not show up ?
  13. sorry i was thinking you were directing at me u were beneath me half the timekinda in a pissed off mood if you can't tell had to deal with a lot of shit at work thank god i got a new one so i can quit btw some of the people that you are probably thinking are assholes have been around the block a few times
  14. not to sound like a nuthugger but i like the looks of meade's isf better but this is still kinda a sweet whip but if anyone noticed there was a defect in the component the things i didn't like were the rims and matching color bumper piece/ i think they are called exhaust ports could be wrong the seats i think were blah i did like the trunk that was an i catcher but like you said meade how does the bass reach the cabin
  15. alright well this conversation went well ask a simple question without swear words and this is all i get i am going to now consider you a troll cause i feel like you wasted my time i am in no way a fucking pro/expert but willing to help anyway i canhave a great day btw that crunch is good for mids and highs but jumped off a cliff in the bass department so you don't like help well i do so have a good day
  16. well by the looks of it its not looking too well http://www.b-quiet.com/extreme.html asphalt is usually a no no B-Quiet® Extreme is a 1.15mm (45mil) thick composite mat which consists of Rubberized Asphalt and http://www.b-quiet.com/ultimate.html Viscoelastic deadener with a Supercharged butyl based adhesive alright who the fuck uses supercharged sounds like they are stretching the truth with this cause they don't describe why its supercharged and who uses such a complicated word as viscoelastic google chrome doesn't even recognize it as a word sounds like the only thing they got right was maybe the adhesive but even then by reading it seems they still use asphalt but if i were to pick between the two i would get the B-Quiet Ultimate over the extreme cause of higher butyl content btw those that use the word supercharged be reasonable don't be stupid and ask whats wrong with being supercharged good companies have reliable content backing it up
  17. would you happen to know what he uses to tune his box if so post em' plz if you don't can you post some specs on the box and port not dissin' your homie just wondering btw when you get a chance/money upgrade to the largest agm (absorbed glass mat) battery you can fit it will help with your electrical not sure on the battery you posted my computer i am on right now is slow as molasses in a blizzard
  18. word on the street is the level six can toss small children
  19. could you pm me this site so after work i could add it to my sigedit realized there was a lot of words
  20. i have heard great things about the sk1500.1 someone claimed 1100@ rms 3 ohms, 2ohms was box rise but that isn't the only great amp out there i just put it in cause it is within your price range havn't looked around too much lately edit btw make sure you keep the power clean no distortion and no clipping when you are over powering subs otherwise a sub that can be overpowered can be killed
