put my deka on the trickle charger. Started at 12.6, right after the charge it was at 13.2, it has sat 24hours and now its at 12.89. Going to trickle charge it again a few times, see what happens.

I never got mine to rest higher than 12.8

I would be fine with 12.8. My charger is crazy though, showing 15.43 volts right now. lol @ 1.5 amps.

make sure it doesn't get higher than 15.4, check to see if the battery warms up or starts to swell, if it does it's time for a new charger

the temp is in the 30's today. I took the week off to do work on the car. I need a heated garage!

My AGM's are resting at 12.7 new, should i put them on the trickle charger every day for a while? I know 12.6 is normal, but i would like to see 12.8 or 13. Am I crazy?

Dodge: You can take it down to almost dead. I've taken some batteries down to 9v doing a hard-core drain and charge. The secret is to put them right on the charger and not let them sit in a discharged state

I am assuming in order to do that correctly, you need around a 15A charger. Not a measly 1.25A battery tender, right?

For some reason i thought you painted the mini escalade already. I wonder what you could possibly do to chickens ride? Don't get me wrong here, but it sounds like he doesnt even use it now so why even upgrade? Just my 2 cents, his money, your time. Still looking forward to whats to come.

I've never had an issue with sonic shipping, but i know if i order anything from anyone on a friday, it will probably ship on monday, or tuesday. Most likely tuesday because on monday they have all of friday, saturday and sundays AND mondays orders to ship. Most people get paid thursday or friday so the most orders come in over the weekend. So that backlog means that everyone is in hussle mode monday trying to get them all out. Also, what about the guys like me who order from someone like parts express and i have 15 to 20 different small items. There are humans on the other side in warehouses pulling these items from stock and putting them in a box and wrapping them up so they arrive safely. That all takes time. Plus, it's free shipping, so why complain? -
Could have gone to belton this weekend, but i have to work. It's all good, have to pay them bills. Have a great weekend all!

i see you lost 126 watts with only .5v drop. So, the fosgates hate anything below 13v, or at least this one does. edit dammit, i dont have any graph paper and i don't have excel installed. i want to chart the voltage drop and power output drop and see what the curve looks like. It's not quite linear, but it looks like it has the potential to do over 1600 at 14.4v. I take back what i said lol.

wait, a fosgate amp doing less than rated? ok, lets see the 2ohm test. edit: does the birth sheet for that amp say 1862 @ 4ohm? just curious.

hmmm, where to get a 100 farad capacitor... lol I like the testing you did. Still sticking with batteries since the only caps i can find anywhere near that range are from companies like scoshe and "Brand-X"
