  1. It's been about 2 1/2 years since i have built myself a gaming rig. Recently i upgraded mine with new video cards, and its GREAT....but i want more. It's going to take me about a week to build it as i wait on products to show up. I purchased a lot locally, i ordered some stuff, and some of my recent upgrades are so new, they will be brought over to the new tower. Basically, i already have 2 Asus GTX 780 Direct Cu2 cards in SLI. I bought them a month or 2 ago and within about a months time, they were already passed up by the new 780ti. Long story short, my $650 (each) cards came down in price to about $530. It SUCKS my card isn't the newest anymore but at least my 3rd is now more affordable. I always wanted to run 3 cards in SLI, even 4. At this time, 3 is the best i can do but it will be awesome! I am watercooling all 3 GPU's and the CPU. I got water blocks on the way for the cards and TONS of shit to make this happen. Believe me this is seriouis, i have 2 pumps, 2 huge radiators, and a huge reservoir to support cooling 3 gpu's. It is overkill but future proof. This new PC will consist of: Corsair 900D Case (Supertower) Corsair AX1200 Power Supply Asus Rampage IV Extreme x79 (socket 2011) Intel Core I7 4820k Processor (watercooled) <<<< (UPDATE: SWAPPED THIS FOR A I7 4930k (pg. 10)) 32GB Patriot Viper DDR3 2400 Ram Samsung 840 EVO 1TB SSD Seagate 3TB HD (storage) Seagate 2TB HD (storage) ASUS DVD Drive 3 ASUS GTX 780 Direct Cu2 Video Cards (Watercooled) 2 SMD OM-1 (Left, Right LED output indicator) 1 SMD VM-1 (12v Rail Monitor) 1 SMD TM-1 (Temp Sensor/Fan Controller) 3 EK Waterblocks (GPU) 1 EK CPU Waterblock 2 Koolance High Flow pumps 2 EK CoolStream RAD XTX 480 Radiators (8 120mm fans) 1 Bitspower water tank EK Triple Parallel adapter block (for 3 GPU) Misc Bitspower fittings, brackets and adapters. Windows 8.1 Pro (OEM) <<< Stardock added to get windows start menu back - 8 doesn't suck now! and now with the pics. I will post more next week when i REALLY start building!

  2. Stopped by Arden Way Audio today in Sacramento, CA just to check out the shop, see what all they had. I was surprised to see a display of very sexy looking Sundown woofers. Coming from someone who see's a lot of mainstream stuff at shops, it is a nice change to see something like this. I mean he had all the mainstream brands like Rockford, Pioneer etc but this was sitting there next to them. Figured i would snap a few pics. Owner is a nice guy too

  4. Ok Im not even going to bother reading pages 2 and 3, I am seeing so much on page 1 that makes no sense at all. First off the Level 6 is FAR from a burp only sub, not clue where that came from. Secondly, 5ft3 per sub for a 15? I love when people who dont know the product seem to be experts on the subject. Lets get down to actually answering your question. The subs are dual 2 ohm and will be on a 5k per sub. 3.5-3.75ft3 net per sub. I see so many people lately suggesting these HUGE amounts of port area and just dont quite understand that. 15in2 per 1ft3 has treated me well and always sounded good.

  5. you can make a lvl 6 reach mechanical limits on 1000 watts, ppl dont understand just how much of an impact box design makes

  7. dc subs do not large boxes i would not go any bigger than 3.75 there is soo much motor force on that sub if it is put into a larger box it will reach its limits too quick and you will end up breaking the neck joint,

  9. lvl 6s are great musical subs and perform great in bandpasses, i know this for a fact , might want to add some bracing in side that box now what are you planning on power, do not put that sub in 4.5 cubes it will tear itself apart

  10. No reason to be sorry Kylar lol They're def a rare breed and finicky could probably be the only way to describe them, and i haven't even played with them yet haha. Gonna see what they'll do in the box, if they blow they blow. I'll have a better reason to build them into 18s and play with them like that. Or sell them and move onto another level lol, althought i doubt i'll ever sell them for what i'd ask so they'll be trophy subs and collect dust on the shelf lol.

  11. Sweet as hell. Makes me want to ditch car audio and go back to building computers lol. I haven't built a gaming machine since like 2001 when I was playing Counter-Strike like it was my job lol. Fortunately, League of Legends doesn't require much lol.

  12. i WAS going to do 64gb of ram but i didn't want to spend $900 on DDR3 2400.....so i got 32gb (8 4gb sticks). 32 should be MORE then plenty.

  16. me either! but i gotta wait 30 days before DC gets them and even then i don't know what my cost will be. I am 90% sure i am using DC amps. My pocket book will determine what i ACTUALLY run. People think i gotta free ride and ummm that is just NOT true. I should by now (by some company) but it still has not happened. I get discounts and a few freebies here and there but definitely no free rides.
