For A daily driver, non competition, heavy metal/EDM/Rap would you be more content with A 3.5k or a 5k?

5k as long as your subs will handle it. I had 3.5k daily, and it was loud enough, but I wanted louder. My subs could have handled it, but I didn't want to push my amp into a clipped signal and burn my subs up.

I have an idea of just getting subs that are able to be slammed at 5k, but power them off a 3.5k so when I get more money over time, I can just sell the amp, swap that shit and rattle my brain some more.

That was my other recommendation, get beast subs now, get the 3.5k now, and upgrade when the time is right. 3.5kwill do you just fine for now.

Buying 4 group 31 Deka's, one underhood, and 3 in back for 1 2500 at 1 ohm on stock alt, and when I get the singer 310, 2 2500's at 1 ohm strapped.
Gotta have a proper electrical foundation.

Gotta love some of these audio "groups" on Facebook. People praising kicker and MTX like they are the only 2 brands that exist and everything else is complete shit. Supposedly there's a 50k watt amp the size of my hand for only 2k! hahahah

Hmm, just got some SHCA 4G...Power wire, nice and thick...my ground wire is...well, feels thin sleeved and has small little line rips in random spots. Bad batch or what? Got it from DroppinHurtz.

When I put my 2 15' ported box in my volvo when I had, I had no space, only space on the side of the box that was supposed to be for batteries but then I got an suv lol

Hunter, what was the size box you used for your 6 10's? I'm thinking 4 xl 10's in the future for my civic too, rather than the 2 12's I'm currently building for.

I can't wait till my virgin 500 rms ears get to listen to 5k RMS! I've stopped smoking pot over a month ago and have almost $800 saved up already, and I've never saved over $400, and when I did it'd be gone. Soon to be LTB DC 5k

I'm a nooby asking for your input. if you had a small trunk, a box limited to 4.5cu MAX. Would you pick 2 12's? sealed off port firing into cabin(Fi BL's) or 1 15" SP4 same situtation if I'm able to seal it off aswell

3.5 cuft is a good size for a pair IMO. The sp4s are big box woofers and wouldn't like that box

It's funny to see people in my area and in general have dope cars...but they're balls deep in debt. Wouldn't you be more proud in something that you've fully payed off?

i agree with wastedtalent....as long as you can afford your payment and ultimately the car, then get what you want. I would rather make a payment then drive a busted up bucket. P.S. i have paid all my cars off in full and the Lex is 3 months from being done too. So just depends on your idea of "debt".
