  2. Hell yeah man. I've been wanting to get some deadening but I hadn't pulled the trigger yet. You got me on this sale... Couldnt resist
  3. Digital Multi Meters... Fluke and Klein both make great equipment. I have a CL800 and it does what I need. What model DMM would you purchase if you had no $$$ limit?

I personally use a TPI 440 scope plus. Was 2 years out of warranty and they fixed it for free (new dial, battery, charging port (as well as repair since it wasnt working)). Then I would look into a DC/AC clamp with a true peak hold (rather than just hold where it locks what is on the screen). 440 plus if i remember right are like 350-400.

I like my Fluke meters, something about them being the leading brand in many different industries says a lot to me.

Really depends on what you plan to do with the meter on the options you need.

If your using it just for car audio and or wanting to clamp an amps output, then Id say SMD AMM-1, if your needing it for actual electrician field type work then Fluke.
That being said I dont remember the last time I even used my Fluke DMM or Fluke clamp.
Also keep in mind that if you get a DMM that has the additional add on clamp that plugs into it that you can only measure amperage or voltage one at a time (ie: you cant use the meter to measure current at the same time as measuring voltage. So you would need clamp meter and a multimeter if you where wanting to "clamp" and amp (which has been proving to be inaccurate results)).

Also I am a dealer for SMD products if you do decide to go that route.

Thanks Brian, I have an AMM-1, DD-1, IM-SG, and a Klein CL800. Just making convo, mostly.

  4. I had to send my DD-1 in a while back. I was told to do send it to... Damore Engineering Warranty 880 Calle Plano Suite D Camarillo, CA 93012 With an added note to "Please include a note with all the issues it has, also include your return shipping address, phone number and email". I dont know about payment and such, but I hope that helps.
  5. Definitely better to stick with shorter boards... Cheaper when one shits the bed. Plus, its harder to get rid of a large board versus a few smaller ones.
  6. 7500Wrms is what you need at 1ohm, so I would go with a 10K at 1.33ohm. Even then, you may not even be pulling RMS wattage. The idea is to oversize your amp so that you dont push it into clipping. Thats my opinion, anyway.
  7. You should read the manual that came with your charger sir. Also, if the batteries have the same voltage then yes you can use them together.
  8. Heading to Calgary for a conference later this week.  Any recommendations on things to do?

I wont be there for the weekend, but I would love to cut away from my group... Everyone is like 15+ years older than me at this event.

  9. What is the temperature rating of the insulation? Also, are the strands tinned?
  10. I am trying to get an OM-1 myself. If I had one I would certainly help out man. Try calling. He answered the phone a while back when I had a problem with my DD-1. I ended up sending it in for warranty since it wasnt reading correctly.
  11. how can you be sure that your amp isnt producing distortion? Have you looked at the output on an o-scope to confirm you have a clean signal?
  12. Im assuming there was a SOTM promotional on FB or YT judging from the amount of traffic looking for free stuff lol

Lol. I have everything ripped out of my truck getting ready for the install but I already have the stuff for it. The wife's car already has bump so I figure someone else could benefit more from it.

  13. Thanks for the intel AF. I cant get a response from WCCA or D'Amore on the matter. I know everyone is busy, so its good to get some inside info. About the VU-DIN... its nice and all, but a its not what I described above. Im thinking something like this but for 10-100Hz. Simple idea. http://www.ebay.com/itm/RGB-32-32-Audio-Indicator-LED-VU-Meter-Music-Display-Spectrum-Analyzer-For-Amp-/281961615405?hash=item41a638d02d:g:w2MAAOSwxp9W4iiD
  14. I feel like its the only way to go when having multiple amps. A visual spectrum analyzer for 10-100Hz with all the features of the OM-1 would be DOPE. *hint hint D'Amore*! OM-2 perhaps?
  15. Do you guys know when yall will have another batch of OM-1's? I need (2) of them for my builds. Thanks!
  16. I can see a 'reaction' button on status updates, but I dont see a 'reaction' button in any normal thread posts...  Are yall able to see this mythical button on normal thread posts?
