well I got good news and bad news, the good is I figured out that my alarm still works, bad news is I can't get the damn thing to disarm now so my car is immobilized

what's the best way to secure a single baffle to a fiberglass enclosure? 6 months of stalling is long enough, have had the materials to finish my enclosure for the past 2 months and haven't touched it, time to put in work tomorrow!

I was thinking about taking my previous baffle which is the same size, shoving it in the opening of the fiberglass enclosure, screwing into that baffle from the sides of the enclosure and hold it in place, then add fiberglass mat all the way around to seal it up good, then cut out the baffle all the way around but leaving about 1" of baffle all the way around so that the real baffle can lay on top of that wood that's already there
-
not sure if that makes any sense, but in my mind the way i'm picturing it, it should work
-
That sounds stronger then my idea, I say go for it.

be prepared to study!, any clue what you want to major in?

something along the lines of engineering, not quite sure what kind yet. Everything requires a shit ton of math which isn't my strong suit. But everything else doesn't interest me

dustcap temperature reading of 175 degrees, how close am I to blowing this half blown SA-8?

And, please, when it goes, take a temp reading. I'd like to know "about" the temp at failure please?
-
just clip it, your amp will be ok.
-
Idk what the hell these guys are talking about clipping the amp...hook that bish up to a wall socket!

is it bad that I did an extreme chest/tricep workout on monday after 8 months of not working out, and i'm still just as sore as the first day of recovery?

plastidip is the most sorry excuse of a paint job i've ever seen, sure it looks cool on certain cars or certain parts, but every other car I see around town is half assed plasti dipped, this new fad is getting old really quick.

Don't blame the product if people fuck it up.
-
i like plastidip a lot!! i agree if 16 year olds use 10 cans to spray a car without the gun its gunna look like shit but a lot turn out great
-
it's all a matter of opinion, i've seen a few cars that I actually liked, and then others that i'm like why the fuck would anyone do that? for example I have no idea someone would plasti dip a 200,000 dollar car, that is beyond me. I like when people use it to black out certain trim pieces and such also.

trying to figure out how to convince the idiots at my local auto parts store that their machine is wrong and that my battery is indeed bad, so fucking heating right now, who knows maybe if they would've replaced it when I first took it to them I wouldn't have a dead alt on my hands too.
-
beyond frustrated with my cars electrical problems, can didn't start last night right after I got home, starts just fine this morning without charging it over night, alt wasn't charging though.

am I asking too much by wanting to trade my pair of mint XFL 12's for a single Tantric HDD 12?
- Show previous comments 8 more
-
I think both of those would be fair offers for trades. You're sacrificing cone area for more power. So people will tell you "it's your loss" or "it's a stupid move".
-
well guess what, I don't care what people say haha, these XFL's apparently require much more airspace than 4 cubes gross, and I've had a few people tell me that the HDD's would work great in 4 cubes gross especially when I get some serious power to them, but for the meantime a single HDD in 4 cubes gross tuned to 32hz with a 6" aeroport on my 3.5k at 1 ohm should get down pretty good.
-
A single HDD is gonna be killer. Check out pacifikballa's build, he just threw one in. Looks insane.

what does Pipo Sanchez, Robin Butler, Scott Bowman, Jared Gibson, Keith Miller, Steve Mick, etc all have in common? 4th orders, get the hint

Theyve all spent hundreds of hours and thousands of dollars to re buid dozens of time when they werent happy with it
-
Just because they're in the spotlight doesn't mean it's the best way to go. I wonder how many countless people have failed with 4th orders and had great success with flat walls.

Experience...

Time to jump on the fuck anything and everything hifonics bandwagon, sick and tired of issues with these amps, i'm done, the second I get some money i'm selling the piece of shit and getting a quality amp

not true.
-
Really not true, we listen N8
-
Hifonics FTW.

So this guy on another forum claims he ran 4 IA20.1's on a single D3100 wired to .0875 per amp (competing in usaci), added an alternator and apparently lost on the meter, anyone care to explain how either of those things are even possible?

lol that guy is stupid
-
Only improvement would've been to wire down to -2 ohms.
-
On a single Kicker Comp 10. I heard about this cat.

damn, 12" wardens with zv4 baskets and soft parts are absolutely sex, must cost a pretty penny though

How much do you think my wet cell up front is affecting my 2 sealed batts in the back? front is resting at 11.8 after a night of sitting (battery tests perfectly fine) while the rear batts rest at 12.8, should I see a noticeable difference in voltage drop by putting a Stinger SPV44 up front?
-
Mixing categories is bad, ill try to get all agm batts . you can mix agm brands, but i wouldnt mix categories like lead + wet. can harm batts
-
that's what I was thinking, just hoping i'll see a difference in voltage drop when i drop the dc down to 1 ohm again, a lot of people are telling me I shouldn't be seeing mid to high 11's with my electrical
