Not really sure how they come loose. I could guess, but I've noticed that my fuse holders with the set screw, I need to tighten them periodically. But the ones with bolts sticking up, where I throw some lugs on the wire and a fuse in there, I've never had one of those loosen on me. Shoot if amps used those same connections I'd be a happy guy. I think it may be more for convenience though

chris nailed it. Just like I said its for convenience. Hands down ring terminals are a better connection especially under the hood. Why do you think OEM car manufactures use them

the smash type are not bad and are way easier to wire when you have 400 runs though....Either way they both work good
