I have a 32 gig IPad mini I use, and a 64g flash drive. It runs fast. But yes the display will zonk out here and there if you get things moving. I can do it on demand with about 13 songs that in know of. You just flip the face down, and back up and it will come back alive. Not a big big deal, but it can get somewhat annoying.

I added a two part set up mud/glue to the reciever sleeve to the plastic molding. Then added 2 thin pieces of strapping to the rear of the unit, and self tapped the straps to the dash metal. It helped. But when the entire dash gets moving, what else can ya do!? The pins in the flip down need to be upgraded or something. Again, mine now only does it here and there. But yes, it still does it.

Ive seen the og mayhems take a ton. Here is one of 15 rigs i knew of in the day running mayhems (all the og mayhems) Tims blazer. 4 18" mayhems on 2 9k tfhes at .35 (yes, .35)  Tim played that thing all fucking weekend. Never had a issue, and these where Rays old subs he beat on for years. 

I personally would go with the SB Acoustics, not just because I have them but I was on the same path you were when I decided to buy them. I was looking for the loudest soft dome tweeter without having to go super tweeters and my last option was under dash horns. Which I couldnt see myself forking over 500 bucks for them so I sought out after some soft dome's wtih great output and that is how i ended up with the SB's.

Depending on how much work you want to do you could try the Morel CAT 378 tweeters, a guy on this forum with the White 300C with a big wall build uses them and he loves them.

They take 100 rms, I had mine crossed at 2.5K but could go lower. Just depends on your listening habits really, but they do have killer output and sound great. Here is more info on them:

These are the exact same tweeters used in Arc Audio's top of the line Black Series and also what NVX copied for their component line up as well.

What's the best and cheapest way to ship these woofers cause he has no boxes and need them to come back to me safe. Since there going to be driven from Florida to Chicago

>Pool noodles around the perimeter with a shit ton of tape

>plywood planks top and bottom if possible

>sub-sized box if possible

>wrap in blankets

Also, have him bring up some of that "Miami Snow"

I enjoyed my SB acoustics mids way more than I did my Silverflutes. I plan on getting a pair of SSA mids myself here soon.

Ya just waiting on that recone now then have to get that thing reconed then install it and I'll be playing again can't wait to hear these beasts. These our the biggest subs I've ever owned.

It is worth it to spend the extra money on the guy who knows what he is doing. A buddy of mine does them for people around here and think he charges 50-60. 

And I know how nerve racking it can be reconing a sub and not wanting to mess it up. My first recone was a level 5 18 I did.

Ya just going with the more expensive guy worth my piece of mind has like 6 references so going that route. Getting my recone and basket tommrow so hopefully will be able to get it done soon and finnaly hear what these 6 mayhems 12s will do.

I have a Sierra 1500 and run mud tires. I off-road a little bit. I run 10 ply tires just for their strength. Takes away from the ride but they can handle more abuse. If you are ballooning then probably yes you could use some load E tires.

Walled sonic that's what I did last time checked both with dd-1 and dmm and gain matched to the lower of the two amps.  Adding a cockbox and getting rid of y spliters. going to redo amp gains at -5db instead of 0 db like last time. 

Well all done and reset with cockbox looks better

HDs are supposed to bang hard.  Not sure if you would actually notice much of a diff between them and XFLs.  VFLs tho...  but yeah HDs are very nice.  what size are you looking for?  per sub budget?

Have 8 xfl 1222s 5 good 3 bad coil thinking bout trading them out for something better that will take the power without stinking
