  4. Upgrade your electrical before you even think about putting the reconed subs back in on that amp, if not you'll be sending them back in a matter of weeks. Just because your lights weren't dimming doesn't mean shit, get a stout electrical system, a good voltmeter to monitor the voltage and then put the subs back in

  5. Gotta learn sometime. Now just fix it, and do your electrical up right. Big 3, HO alt, batts, the whole shebang

  6. Man I feel bad for that amp and subs

  7. Doubting and knowing are two different things.. Running a 4500 on stock electrical is like trying to masturbate with sand paper. It's pointless.. and it would suck to ruin such a nice amp and subwoofers.

  8. Stock electrical with a SAZ4500..Well no wonder it's making noises, you're probably dropping to around 10 volts.. Do the big 3,get a HO alt, some AGM batteries like XS Power and all 1/0 wire.

  13. Hey- gotta' run with what works for you. At least you had the stones to try something different. I just noticed from the photos and your vid that you are running 4 AlphaCell batteries in the back. I recently put in 2 AlphaCells in the van. I did have just the under hood battery, but after adding the 2 AlphaCells, stuff got serious. I couldn't be happer with them. I take it you like yours as you still have them and said you don't have voltage problems. Rolling Thunder's looking good and sounding Strong. Awesome as ever Will. Keep it up brother.

  17. the bubbling i stated in the other, i saw first hand, and Rusty explained it to me (the owner of DC). The massive heat build up can cause gasses while the resin/glue starts to melt and evaporate on the windings, with the flatwound coils, there is no where for this gas to go, so it takes the path of least resistance, the aluminum former, which it will bubble out and create a ridge all the way down to the bottom of the former where it can escape. this ridge can touch the pole and cause a rattling sound. your problem might be this, it might not, but a recone is probably the only thing to fix your said "rattle". man if i have to recone 1 i might as well just recone both to upgrade them ( i have 2 woofers i had only 1 playing) if you cut the dustcap off without hurting the cone, looking down to the pole and coil will be your best bet. if you have the issue i stated above, you will see something like this.... which kind of dustcap do you have?

  19. Pull sub and check the coils. If one or both reads funky, then you need a recone. If you are going to stick with the saz4500, I would get either a D1 or d.7 recone and wire up to 1.4 or 2 ohms along with setting the amp gains properly and getting the electrical to support the amp. I would be more than happy to help get you the right equipment that you need, batteries, wiring, etc.

  20. Posted this in your other thread 4500w amp on a 2200w sub. First mistake. Gain about half way??? How did you set your amp to know if you are sending a clipped/distorted signal to the sub? Second mistake 4500w amp on stock electrical.....ouch

  24. more like 6 years dude came in here rambling about something that nobody gives a fuck about, so i deleted it. SMH, some people...LOL - Ya man. Nobody gives a fuck about sound quality? Just delete, that'll make you look better. It's like photoshop for yo ego. It's a valid point that the tweeters are nearly 2 feet apart, and will cause interference patterns which will cancel at various frequencies, causing those frequencies to disappear. first of all, dumb fuck, they are 12" apart, not 24". You got a terrible eye. Probably never even seen a tape measure. Is it perfect? probably not. Pretty good though...and the mids are more then ideal. Anyway I am not an expert at this and i certainly wasn't 6 fucking years ago when i built them. All i can do is learn and do better each time, and i have. My latest towers SHIT on these towers. BUT THESE towers still sound great too. let me tell you something, fuckface, this is a hobby for me. You came in here and right off the bat dissed on everything you saw. A lot of hot air coming from that shit box mouth of your's. You think i am not going to get rid of your bullshit post, talking major shit to ME on MY own forum? fuck off. Go somewhere else and talk your shit. You don't even have any experience whatsoever on the matter and even if you did, i would'nt listen to you, because you are a loud mouth internet troll (with no experience). You can go play the expert to your buddies and hope someone will listen to you. Me, i don't listen to a damn thing you say, unless you want to come run your smart ass mouth to my face, then i am all ears.

  26. you should have a tv show like those shows that show the dirtiest restaurants and they help fix them, but yours would be fix horrible installs like this! and tuned to see what you do with the ride..

  27. I'll give them a call on Monday. Does any body know how they sound in a sealed box. Most of the videos I've found they are in ported boxes. I'm not looking for the loudest system in the state. I just want good clean deep hard hitting bass. Plus my space is limited. The setup is going in an Altima so I dont want to use all of my trunk. If ported is the way to go do you guys know any good box builders in the Mid Atlantic area that's reasonable. Thanks for your replys and help. Thanks for the video that's the one of the first ones that I found after I heard the 2 Level 4 18's.
