  1. Movin this one to the top. Having some great food tomorrow and of course, its to fight cancer. Get at me SMD if anyone decides to come through
  2. Dont think they will like the advertising in your sig, unless your a vendor. I may be wrong though
  3. My bad, this is the car show section. Check the comp section every couple of days for updates. I think they also put show dates on teambassick.com
  4. This is a car show, no competing at all. You can play your system and demo if you want. There is comp at Audio Innovations in fresno next month, I think the 18th. There was 2 or 3 shows in San Jose last year. Team Bassick Kimo and Team Bassick Alpine are always updating this section with local competions. Just keep at eye out. I didnt go to a lot of them, but have heard of shows in salinas, modesto, sacromento, Hayward, etc.....
  5. Do this, jack up the car and take both front wheels off. Take a look at both sides and see what does not look right. Was thinking about this and it may be the strut rod ( or also called radius arm). Take the wheel OFF. Take pictures again, with the wheels off and upload them here. I can get a better idea of what your suspension looks like and what may be wrong. The pictures you took were not that good. They just seemed like close ups of the axle. On pic 17, you look at the arm on the right side ( just above the oil spot on the driveway). See where this is attatched to on the frame. I believe this is your strut rod, and the bolts may have backed out and fell out. Dont bother putting the axle back in and driving it, cause your just gonna end up fuckin something up even more ( until you really find out what is bad. You may have already over stretched the brake line, and tore the line internally. I have seen this many of times) . Stay away from the neighbor, he may be the type of guy who thinks he knows, and has to much pride to admit he doesnt.
  6. Nice. Haven't seen any fiats yet with systems. The company I work for has a Fiat dealer in Berkeley. Some of the cars are actually nice
  7. Yea, you can import them from the disk. Just make sure you do it as a "lossless transfer"? There are a couple of threads about this, here is 1 http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/134297-dd1-non-cd-drive-player/ and another http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/117387-dd-1-disk-to-ipod/
  8. Check your lower ball joint. Remove the wheel and take a couple of pictures so we can see whats going on.
  9. I dont recall seeing JL on any of the other audio forums that I've visited. But like fizzy said, I've heard the W7 and is a great sounding woofer. Their amps are nice to, just pretty pricey.
  10. There are a couple of crescendo reps here. I know twistedchild420 is. The new crescendo amp puts out 175 at 4ohm at 13.8v. Price new is $350 shipped i believe from what it read somewhere else. I would get a hold of a rep to give you some more info, or google crescendo C1100.4 to links for info. Seems as a good price to me.
  11. I know its late notice, but there is a car show tomorrow in Vacaville,Ca. Just found out that im going. If anyone is going, ill be there from around 10-1 ( I have previous plans ). So send me a message on here and ill shoot my number.
  12. The only internet shop that i know of that has hertz is wooferetc. and they are not authorized retailers. From my understanding, there is no where to buy hertz on the net. A lot of the Hertz that you see on ebay are the fakes from malaysia. When you buy a set of 750 componets for 300, that should throw up a red flag that something isnt right. The term " to good to be true" comes to mind.
  13. I run 12g to everything. I had some 8g to my sub, but now just some stinger 12g.
  14. http://www.elettromedia-usa.com/locator/index.php Go here and input your zip code to find a local dealer. There you can get a demo of them and see if you actually like them, then you know also were you can purchase. From my understanding, wooferetc. is not authorized to sell hertz, and do NOT buy off ebay, they are likely fakes.
  15. Yea, keep a eye out, ill probably go up there with my boy and his Colorado truck club. Saturday, they are having a demolition derby which is new. Wish they were having it on sunday as well.
  16. My family, friends and I are participating in the 2012 " Relay for Life " cancer walk in our hometown. Im asking for donations to help fight/cure this horrible disease. You can go to our team homepage ... http://main.acsevent...eam&fr_id=37064 and donate there ( Link to my page is below, donate there so that I recieve credit to my personal goal, in which all teams have) . If you do donate, let me know on here in this thread, or message me so that i can thank you. Also, you can come out to the actual relay and walk with me and my family, which is going on June 2-3 2012 9 a.m. to 9a.m. in San leandro ,Ca. I will be there, all day and night, so any time is good . Come down and walk a lap or two. If you do come, please message me to get my number so that I can meet you and thank you personally. Here is a link to my page, http://main.acsevent...nal&fr_id=37064 The reason for me walking is that this disease has affected my family and I, A LOT! Both my grandmothers died of cancer, one of ovarian and the other breast. The one whom had breast, had three daughters. The oldest died of stomach cancer, the middle ( My mom ), is a breast cancer survivor of almost 1 year ( but we are still going through some things that were linked to the chemo treatment, and my mom may possibly have to have lung transplants, but we are praying that it doesnt go that far) and the youngest ( my godmother) died of congestive heart failure Nov. 2010. She had got the c.h.f, by recieving a very aggresive chemo and radiation treatment when she was diagnosed with breast cancer, and only had 6 months. Well, she survived the cancer but years later developed the c.h.f. and recieved a heart transplant, although she was combatible with only 3% of the worlds population. 7 years later... post transplant congestive heart failure and would not survive another transplant. She passed away 5 months later. This is a brief explantion on why im walking. We as a team, are also having a lunch fundrasier at my parents house. The meal will be a pulled pork sandwhich, potato or macaronni salad , beverage, and desert. Minimum donation of $10 for the meal is required, but a larger donation is always welcome. If you have kids, we will also have a lunch menu for them as well, and consist of a hot dog, chips, juice and desert for $5. http://relay.acseven...df?docID=237221 The zip code is wrong, and should be 94578. Message me again if you plan on attending, so that I know who you are when you come and can thank you. We will be going until the food runs out, so get there early. Thank you from Team Fight Cancer! P.S. I contacted n8ball prior to posting this as I was not sure if this violated and forum rules, and he ok'd it.
  17. When you get a alt, go with DC, Mechman or singer. Sometimes, its best to buy for the customer service and warrenty then it is to save a couple of bucks and some potential headaches. I personally have only used DC and so far so good. Previously, I ran a Rockford 5 channel that put out around 1400 total rms and only had the stock 130amp alt and a XS3400 and voltage was good, never saw below like 13.5v from what i remember.
  18. Go for it. My boy put himself through the academy and was a reserve for only two weeks before they hired him full time. He did say that the P.T was not that bad, but the test were kinda hard. My cousin just failed out the sherriffs academy a couple of weeks ago for his failing the search and seizure test ( which from my understanding is the hardest of any of the test and is the reason why most fail). Good luck if you go through with it, and keep us updated
  19. The drive sucks afterwards, takes me forever to get home. But maybe since this is the first year that they have it for two days, it wont be that bad.
  20. Been to this show a couple of times and I always enjoy it. This is the first year that they are doing on both saturday and sunday ( before was only on sundays). Lots to see and do there. I should be there on sunday and putting my yukon in the show ( they have everything here). Holla at me if your going and will match some faces with names http://www.miramarevents.com/dreammachines/
  21. Its a 71 chevelle, dont worry about gas mileage.Ive had people ask me what kind of mileage i get out of my 2006 yukon, and i tell them that its a SUV and diddnt buy it for gas mileage, but to be able to take my family anywhere in it comfortably ( and I averaged 16 .6mpg before rims...13.3 after. but i dont give a shit, i like the way it looks) . With a old school, its kinda the same thing. Yea it would be nice to get some dent mileage out of it, but when its all said and done, its a 40year old car tank with a V8. If it were me, id do it the way i want it. Throw some beat in there, and do some other things to make it quick, and make it the way you want it with no worry of mileage and such.
  22. What voltmeter are you using and where do you have it hooked up too? Check the voltage at the amp with DMM and see what the differance is when its reading the 14.8v
