  3. Who needs wipers when there is RainX and 32hz

  4. Waiting for my Dad to go to bed so I can go put his new side bars on for tomorrow. Hopefully I can do it stealthly :peepwall:

That will be a nice suprise for him. Good idea.

  5. Mine did the EXACT same. I forget what part hums in the amp, but it will hum when there is distortion. I noticed the same thing, I backed it down, the light went out, but there was still humming. So I kept backing it down until the humming went away, it wasn't much more below where the dd.1 was.
  6. Going out to go drop my infrasonic filter down to 29hz. Wonder how my subs will like it

Ha I don't want super low stuff. Ended up being 28hz on the disk. My Mom thought there was a helicopter going over the house... LOL

  7. I was just thinking to myself, is that speaker tweaker kit actually worth while? I mean sure it could help when the window is up, but when it is down, wouldn't the window just obscure the speaker tweaker? I assume that most of us play our music with windows down. Unless it's like 10 degrees outside.
  8. Question, would charging it on a 1.25A charger be enough? Or should I turn my car on and let it run for a bit?
  9. I didn't see the ad either. Only ads I saw was for oracle/java when stark was in the van. My gf said she saw the SS logo in the "terrorists" mansion. But I am not 100% certain.
  10. Holy Crap! I now know what loud is. Great day at the comp

Red dodge stratus, I was parked infront of the audio shop. I tried to compete in the bass race. I was wearing gray hoodie and under armor hat

  11. Correct me if I am wrong, but can the current dd.1 only work properly with 0dB, -5dB, -10dB, and -15dB tones? I agree with you 100% about -5dB not being quite enough, but -10dB too much. It would be nice to be able to do something in between
  12. Well I must be loud if my rear view mirror fell off. ha, anyways what glue is needed. Or will any epoxy work?

  13. Holy crap. Detailing your car is a whole other world. Never realized how in depth it could go besides washing and waxing....

I know first hand what you are talking about with detailing though: I had my own little neighborhood detailing business when I was 15/16. Made more $$$ than I do at my current job lol

      Raptorman

There's a guy that we install systems for his clients that lives near me, he gets cars from around the nation for custom interior design. And he told us these guys get detail jobs that cost around 40k.

I agree with KyLar everything is bigger than what you see on the surface, you just have to find out firsthand what it's all about.

  14. Can someone describe the smell from a smoking coil?

After I checked I played some decaf thinking it would help cool the coils a bit. Seemed to help. The smell wasn't there anymore

    3. Nate Futuristic

      Nate Futuristic

Yeah you just warmed up the coils nothing to worry about just make sure if you smell anything funy turn it down asap

And some companies use adhesive that when it heats up and cools down its stronger.. dunno which companies but you should be fine

Cool, just don't want to fry these things already.

  15. Putting the final touches on the car. Man do I love the smell of spray glue.

  16. I'd hate to but in but, didn't they make the X series have stupid big surround for more throw? Or is that something different?
  17. The quality of the bass sounds so much better without all the trunk rattle. I had 1 12 rear firing in a ported box, rattled the crap outta my trunk. Which sounded decent, but that was the only bass I was exposed too. With my current setup I have no trunk rattle, or very rattle in my car for that matter. HUGE quality difference. To me it even seems to be nicer on my ears after listening to it for long periods even though it is much louder.
  18. Dang, my room feels so empty without all the car audio boxes everywhere.
