4 will be a good start, just make sure you leave room for expansion and more batteries. If your voltage drops below 13.1v with very little play time, then you need more batteries. The way I look at it is what is the point in buying a big amplifier that you expect to put out big power if you don't keep it fed and happy enough to continuously put out that power.

I would prefer to see 4-5 3100s if you want to hold 13.8v or better.

I dident clamp it on that run, I used a 3.5k amp for the testing but that crx has a stock electrical system, 1 run of 4 awg, so thats a big limiting factor. When I was clamping the m2 vs m3 testing I tuned the amp so that all the testing ( clamped power ) would be from 100 to 1200 watts useing freq's from 20hz to 60hz to study how each one reacted for comparison.

I said nope only 2 12's on a 2500.1 And they freaked out that my 2500 needed 2 extra batteries and all 1/0 gauge .... And their 5k boss amp only needs 4 gauge

Congrats on your dc purchase! I just love it when people here in my small town ask if my subs are as good as kickers, jls, etc... Then i make them sit in my car. Had one guy last week that jumped out before i even turned it up good!! And my cousins wife had two level 3 15s in a regular ported box on a 2k that got pretty loud, so i know your setup will slam good!!

any of you remember getting a better signal by tossing some tin foil on the antenna? kids these days are spoiled....probably never used pliers to change the channel either. And how are you gonna put a new flat screen, on top of your old flat screen when it goes out? hahaha
