Sometimes when people don't feel their answer is good enough or justified, they give you the "just because" since they don't want to look bad for throwing away such a long relationship over "nothing" essentially. Sometimes people just fall out of love. I'm dealing with that now, on my level not hers.

Just run a small wire back to your amp. I used 18awg, doesn't take much.
